Chapter 3

Kylie POV

I yawn as I wake up this morning. Checking my clock, the time reads 6:23 AM.

I throw on a a white V-neck and purple shorts. Slipping on some tennis shoes, I jump down the stairs.

Mom must not be up yet, so I fix some waffles for breakfast. I set out syrup, blueberries, strawberries, and chocolate chips. While waiting for the bread to toast, I scramble some eggs.

"Morning darling! Ready to get baking?" Mom came down the stairs, singing out every word.

I just nod and get to it while she sits down and pours syrup on her Belgian waffles.

Grabbing a bowl and spoon, I find some flour, sugar, eggs, and other ingredients to bake some blond brownies.

As soon as mom finishes breakfast, she makes some of her famous sugar cookies.

These times in the mornings when my mom and I bake together are my favorite. Plus, I get to eat the batter when she's not looking.

Shane's POV

It's 10:30 in the morning. I woke up really early for a Friday. Usually I wake up around 12:00, but not today.

Kylie mentioned that she would come over today, so I immediately start to fix up. I throw own some jeans and vans, adding a striped blue and white T-shirt.

I spend about thirty minutes in the bathroom. My hair is so gorgeous I try different ways to make me totally attractive.

When I walk down stairs for breakfast, everyone is already seated. After sitting down at the table, the boys stare at me.

"Who ya dressing up for, Shanie?" Chris asks while raising his eyebrows.

I shake my head and wolf down some cereal. My brothers laugh, and I in turn roll my eyes.

Hayden snaps his fingers. "It's Ky, isn't it!" He demands. I focus on eating my cereal. "What can I say? She's hot!" I exclaim.

The boys laugh. "You like every girl!" James accuses. I laugh along.

Michael speaks up. "We get out schedules and class ratings today!" He sounds excited.

"Well we already know that we all got rated Star Class. And apparently three girls get in too!" I raise my eyebrows suggestively. Shawn punches me in the arm.

"Well results come in around two, and Kylie comes at three. Then she'll spend the night with Cassie here." Michael states.

They all nod our heads while I smile from ear to ear. The boys groan. This is going to be a long day.

Chris POV

Shawn comes in running from the mailbox. "They're here!" He yells as he bursts through the door.

Everyone crowds around as we pick up our schedules. I know we all have the same, but it's still fun to see what electives got chosen this year.

I read out loud to everyone our timetable.

"Okay, so:

A DAY

Home room---Mrs. Kinsey

STEM---Mr. Rae

History---Mrs. Cher

Lunch

Outside

Math---Mrs. Smith
