Beca and Chloe sat apart on the plane. But of course not too far. Chloe was sat next to the window; facing the back of the plane on the right side. Beca was on the left side facing the front of the plane; next to the window.

"How long?" Chloe asked.

"About an hour" Ally replied.

Ally was sat next to Beca on the plane. Chloe's manager was fast asleep before he would have to get back to work once they landed. Beca had her headphones on with her laptop on her thighs. Usually this wouldn't be like this. Well, lately it had been.

In the beginning of having to keep their relationship secret; they would take advantage of this. Chloe would have her head in Beca's lap. The brunette would play with her ginger hair. They would talk or just sleep. But, they were together. Now though both women just sat apart and worked.

Beca would be song writing, Chloe would be rehearsing lines with a crew member of their team. Usually she had done that with Beca, but they were slowly becoming distant. Neither of them though wanted to admit to it.

"Thanks" Chloe shot a smile at Ally. Beca had caught glimpse of it and raised an eyebrow. Chloe never gave that smile unless she was flirting.

"No" Beca mouthed once Chloe gave her eyes to the brunette.

The ginger just hinted a small smirk at the younger woman. It was full of mysterious wonder and how Chloe was hands down up to nothing good. Beca sat there wondering why she was, but then she remembered the fight just hours before.

FLASHBACK

"So what?" Beca asked. "What do you want me to do?"

"I want you to show the world who you're proud to call yours because lately I don't feel you think the way of me like you did back then" Chloe ranted. "Not just that, but you literally have become more of a dick-"

"You've become distant too! We haven't had sex in almost five months because you're too tired!" Beca ranted back. "I see the way you look at those-"

"Oh really?" Chloe laughed in disbelief. "You think I look at those girls now? I can do a whole lot more, Beca"

"Really? Is that a threat?" Beca asked.

"Maybe, you-"

"Let's go!" They heard Chloe's manager cut them off.

"Oh you little shit" Beca muttered and just watched Chloe smirk before returning to her script.

"Huh?" Ally asked.

"Nothing" Beca lied before returning her eyes to the screen in front of her. Some lyrics were written down, but nothing she felt too proud over.

It felt repetitive lately. The same chords were starting to sound of a tune. The words all felt boring to Beca. She had been at this for almost three years with no break at all. This holiday would be her first and it didn't seem like it would be relaxing. Mainly because Chloe was stressing over Beca dropping the album out of no where.

But, Beca was sort of looking forward to this holiday break. Chloe had been begging her the last year to take at least three months off so she could recharge. All Beca had been doing was writing, recording, releasing, and touring. It was a nonstop cycle. Not to mention Beca's fame was overnight.

Beca went from playing theaters or opening for acts to instantly selling out arenas. That was mentally exhausting to Beca. She was grateful for it, but she was more exhausted then anything.

She felt a tap on her arm signalling her to take her headphones off. The brunette sighed and slid the black Skullcandy headphones off her ears; looking up at the ginger in front of her.

"We are about to land" Chloe informed and Beca just nodded.

The brunette packed her stuff away into the bag. Chloe did the same as she returned to the seat she was previously in. Beca sat back down and buckled her seatbelt. She felt the familiar nerves run through her body. Of course Beca knew Chloe wasn't happy with her. Who could blame her? Beca was being difficult, but she needed her.

"Chlo" Beca said and quickly the ginger looked up from her phone.

"What?" She asked.

"Please" Beca mouthed and Chloe sighed.

Chloe went to get up from the seat that she was already buckled in, but she hesitated. She wondered if by not giving Beca the attention she wanted that it would cause Beca to lean more towards them going public. But, she sensed the anxiety from Beca already. So she just un-buckled before getting up to sit next to Beca.

"One day you'll be over this fear of landing" Chloe mumbled as she buckled her seat.

"You'll miss it because I won't be needy" Beca smirked.

"Who says I want you needy, Mitchell? Maybe I like badass independent you more" Chloe said as she placed a hand on Beca's thigh.

Beca sat back a bit as her mouth went a bit open. Her eyebrows furrowed in questioning to what Chloe actually was on about. If anyone loved a needy Beca, it was Chloe. The ginger nearly begged Beca for years to open up and let her in.

"Alright, go back to your seat-"

"You don't want that" Chloe sang a bit with a smile.

"Who says I don't?"

"You-"

"I literally just told you to go back to your seat-"

"But deep down you actually need me to stay" Chloe finally turned her head to look at Beca.

"Maybe I don't need you at all" Beca said as she crossed her arms.

"Fine" Chloe spoke before going to get up, but quickly she felt something pulling her back down. It was Beca's hand gripping her forearm. "That's what I thought"

"Shut up" Beca mumbled as she waited for Chloe to settle back down.

Beca instantly took advantage to wrap her arms around Chloe's arm. Her head nuzzled against her shoulder with a content sigh at the familiar senses that made her always feel at ease. Chloe had her hand placed on Beca's thigh; slowly rubbing back and forth.

"You're so needy-"

"You love it" Beca mumbled.
