Chapter 10:
Soul and Black*star are on both sides of Maka’s bed. She looks as if she is sleeping but sadly she is in a coma. Kid is on his way back from his mission with a gift for Maka. Stein walks in the room to check on Maka.
Black*star Pov:
Soul and I have been by Maka’s side since we found her. Stein said that we can save her by killing the witch and get Kim to say a spell for us. I think Soul is going to stay her by Maka’s side till she wakes up.
“Maka should wake up for about an hour so when she wakes up you guys need to make the most of it”, Stein said walking out. “Kid will be here in 10 minutes.”
“Soul, wake up”, I said shaking him awake.
“What man”, he said looking ticked off.
Maka moved a little and opened one eye and saw me. I looked at Soul to see if he saw what happened but he still looked so sad.
“Soul”, Maka said in a hoarse voice.
“Maka”, Soul said grabbing one of her hands.
“Black*star”, she said looking over to me.
“I’m here Maka”, I said taking her hand. She had always been a good friend so I said I would stay by her side when need it. Maka had never liked me more than a friend so when Tsubaki walked in she took my other hand.
“Kid is here Maka”, Tsubaki said touching her hand.
“Where is he”, she said looking over to Soul. “I want you in the room when he gets here.”
“I’m not leaving your side”, he said looking like he was going to cry again.
“I’m here Maka”, Kid said walk in to the room with roses. I looked at Tsubaki and she told me we need to see Lord Death.
“We’ll be back soon Maka”, I said rubbing her hand so she know to look at me before standing up to leave.
“Soul I’ll be back in 20 minutes”, I said walking to the doorway.
“See in 20 man”, he said looking back to Maka.
Kid’s Pov:
My father told me about Maka and I came over as soon could. Liz and Patty were shopping so I didn’t bother them. After Black*star left I sat in his chair next to Maka.
“Kid where have you been for the past four days”, Maka asked me in a low voice.
“I was in New York with the girls on a mission”, I said looking sadden by my answer. I should have been here by Maka’s side.
“Soul, can you go get a nurse”, Maka said looking at Soul.
“Sure, Maka I’ll be back”, he said walking out the door. Maka looked at me and I stood up and lean down to kiss her forehead.
“I’ll be here after I go see my father even when you go back to sleep I’ll be here”, I said looking at my watch. It was 10:30 and my father needed to see me at 11:00.
“If Black*star goes after the witch, I what you to go”, Maka said letting my hand go. “Promise me you’ll go.”
“I promise”, I said running out the door.
Soul was walking back with a nurse as I was leaving. I just looked at him and left the hospital. When I got to the steps of the school Black*star was coming out. He said something to me but I didn’t pay attention.
Soul and Maka talk about how she going to be fine. After about twenty minutes Black*star shows up and Soul is sleeping on Maka’s stomach. Maka talks to Black*star about her liking Soul and Kid but she doesn’t who to take a chance with.
