a/n: I don't quite know what this is, exactly. It is inspired by the song 'Angels' by Khalid, it's an amazing song. + don't forget at the end of homecoming May found out that Peter was Spider-Man, that's relevant to the story.

Sorry for another dim one shot.

I've been seeing angels, In my living room
That has walked the sun, And have slept on the moon
Covered in the fragrance, Of their own perfume
Telling me the stories, Stories coming true

It seemed odd how someone so innocent, could fight such horrific crimes.

Honestly, you didn't think he had that in him.

Well you see these angels, These angels see the light
Yeah I had my troubles, Troubles, all right
I've been seeing angels.

Seeing 'The Spider-Man' on the news was surreal when you knew Peter was under the suit. He had so much more confidence when wearing the mask. He was like a different person.

They'll hold onto their secrets, And tone our memories

It was nice, seeing him express himself. After looking up to Tony Stark after all these years, he finally got to be like him. You liked seeing him happy.

When he met Tony, he wouldn't shut up about it. From the awkward selfie on his lock screen to the even more awkward hug, Peter would never stop talking about Tony. Mr. Stark seemed like a chill dude and you hoped to meet him one day.

We float above horizons And sail across the seas.

You did meet Tony Stark, eventually, for a brief second.

Cars crashing, people screaming. You would never forget it. You almost died. Tony was the one who grabbed your arm before that car hit you. He asked you if you were alright, you stood, still and shocked.

You watched Peter get taken up that spaceship. Your heart pounding in your chest as his body clung to the streetlight. You watched as Iron Man raced up to help him, all you could do was watch. You felt helpless.

Racing to Aunt May's, your mind was clouded with anxious thoughts. The city was a mess, there had already been a few fatalities. What were these things? What do they want? You ran into the apartment to see May sat on the floor, legs crossed, with her head in her hands.

"Where have they taken him?" She asked, tears creeping down her cheeks.

"I-I don't know"

You picked the TV remote up and turned the news down.

I hope for better days, And lately, times are tough.

The next time you saw Tony Stark, was when he told you what happened. You were in Aunt May's with Ned as he told you about Peter. He stumbled through his words before being cut off by May's tears when she realized where this was going. You were once again, still.

He was gone.

"H-how?" Ned asked as his eyes stung.

Tony sat, hesitant to tell the three the truth, but he needed to do it.

"He, he, uh, disappeared, turned t-to dust."

Your heart sank, but you didn't cry. You physically couldn't.

The angels give me strength
And I'm not giving up

Weeks went by before you spoke to anyone. When you finally left your room the first thing you saw was a picture of you and Peter in 2nd grade. That was it. Your eyes began to water and you cried. Once you began you couldn't stop. It hurt too much. You thought he'd just come back and it was all going to be alright, but that didn't happen.

So I wipe away my tears
I unveil my pain

It had now been months since Peter disappeared. The days were still hard, the nights were still long. Your mind wanted to heal, but your heart wanted to continue mourning. Peter wouldn't have wanted this. So you tried to heal.

They're brushing off my shoulders
And I hold on to their stain

After a while, your heart began to heal. It was hard. The nights continued to be sleepless, but you needed to stay strong.  When you went back to school you discovered that Peter wasn't the only victim of the 'disappearance' making it harder to get yourself back together.

 I've been seeing angels

A year had passed since Peter died. Still broken, but now functioning, you helped May look through his room. Her eyes tired and heavy as she scanned Peter's things. You picked the picture on his nightstand up of him you and Ned, and you got lost in thought.

He may not still be with me, but he will forever be my angel
