"Lui..."
I said to Valt. What was that bastard doing here?
"Shu Kurenai and Valt Aoi, small world."
Lui said as he walked over to Valt and me. I swear, he looks like the fucking overlord of ice. Every time he touches something, I think it's gonna turn freeze.
"My last name is Kurenai now."
Valt told him. Lui laughed maniacally, showing his sharp teeth. I grabbed Valt's wrist and pulled him closer to me, kinda guarding him.
"How sweet! Is that why you two retired from Beyblading, or are you both just little bitches?"
"Fuck you Lui!"
Valt yelled at him. I bared my teeth as I gave Lui a death glare.
"Ahahaha!! I'm glad the two of you bitched out, honestly! You're both awful bladers!"
"That's it!"
Valt ran in front of me as he yelled. I grabbed him and held him back before he could get to Lui though.
"Let me go Shu!"
"Nope!"
"Babe!"
"Not here Valt! No fighting!"
I demanded as he wiggled his way out of my grasp. Luckily, he didn't go after Lui once he got free.
"Let him do something!"
Lui yelled.
"Why the hell are you even here Lui?"
I asked.
"Beyblade tournament. You'd know if you didn't bitch out."
"We didn't bitch out! I became Red Eye, who was like you! A careless and cocky bastard that only wanted to destroy every bey out there."
I reminded him.
"So? Red Eye was better in my opinion."
"Yeah, you would think so. I hurt so many people, including my friends and my life partner! Valt paid the price for my mistakes."
"What are you talking about?"
I looked over at Valt and gave him a nod to show Lui his scar that went from his chest and down his abdomen. He lifted his shirt.
"Hmm... What happened?"
Lui asked, still acting like he didn't care in a way.
"The leader of the Raging Bulls shot Valt. Valt almost died because of me. Because I was so obsessed with Beyblading and getting stronger. I was mostly obsessed with defeating you!"
"Hah! Well, I'm right here and I've got Luinor too!"
Lui announced, pulling out his bey. I could feel Valt looking at me and giving me a sad look.
"I'm not battling you Lui. I no longer care. I quit for a reason, and I just explained it to you."
Lui glared at Valt and me, not knowing what to say. But what he did end up saying shocked me.
"Heh. I hate to admit it, but the two of you just gained some of my respect and made me see things a bit differently."
"And what's that?"
My partner asked.
"For one, I guess I should stop trying to break other beys and trying to hit my opponent in the face with their bey."
"That'd be a really great start. You didn't give a damn when you hit me or Valt in the face with our beys."
Lui just rolled his eyes. Obviously he doesn't know how to apologize.
"You lived, so..."
"Close enough."

Valt and I went back to our hotel and started to pack our things. We were leaving the next day and we had to catch the plane at 11am. Valt collapsed on the bed in the process of packing, trying to get my attention.
"UGH!!!"
He groaned.
"That's fine. What's the matter Valty?"
I asked as I walked over to him and sat on the edge of the bed.
"I'm starviiiiiing."
"Haha, when aren't you starving Valt?"
I asked playfully.
"Wow, rude."
I leaned down and kissed his eye that was scarred and patted his stomach hard enough to make him get up.
"Ow!"
"Get up and help me pack cuteness, haha."
"Fine."

"Home!"
Valt shouted as we walked in our apartment door. I laughed as he ran into the living room and did a flip over the back of the couch to lay on it. I smiled as I shook my head at him and walked over to him to plant a kiss on his lips.
"What was that for? Hehe."
"Just because I love you."
"I love you too. Oh! Your anniversary gift from me, be right back!"
Valt said excitedly, running off into our room. He came back with a black velvet box.
"Here. It's not as good as a vacation but..."
"Stop that baby."
I opened it and inside was a cool silver chain necklace. Little does Valt know I've actually been wanting one of these, haha.
"Whoa, Valt! I love it babel! Did you know I was wanting one?"
"No, I just figured you'd like it, haha."
I put the necklace on, then grabbed Valt to hug him and kiss him.
"This necklace is just as good as-"
"No it isn't, your gift was way better."
Valt said, cutting me off. He's been so insecure lately.
"Babe, the necklace is perfect. Okay? Anything that comes from you is beyond perfect. It's not a competition."
Valt buried his face in my chest as he blushed red. I lifted up his head to look at me.
"I love you Valt, and you mean the absolute world to me. You have no idea how much I love you."
I assured him. I saw tears welling up in his brown eyes and I kissed his face repeatedly.
"I love you too Shu. Way more than words can express. I'll never stop loving you, no matter what. You're mine baby."
"You're all mine too Valty."
We closed our eyes as our lips met gently. We stayed kissing for about, two minutes and it was one of the best two minutes.
"We need to go and get Valkyrie from your brother and sister. They're gonna be disappointed, haha."
"Yeah, they love when they get to watch him. Let's go get him though. I miss my pup."
