(Yay I actually updated! Just wanted to let you know that I love and appreciate everyone that takes the time to read my work. I know it's not a lot, but I'm almost to 500 reads on this story, and that's a pretty good accomplishment if you ask me. I apologize for not updating. I keep saying it's because I have so many exams, but to be honest, I'm just really lazy. If you like this story, but you've gotten to the end of however much I've written, I do write other stories, so feel free to check them out. Thank you again for reading my story. I really appreciate that people seem to enjoy what I have to offer.)

Natalie stood in stunned silence.

"Natalie?" Melissa said in concern. Natalie continued to stare at Melissa in bewilderment.

Fabian and Gideon rushed over to the two girls and held Natalie's shoulders. "I think we're going to take Natalie back to the common room, but thank you for speaking to her," Fabian said quickly.

He and his brother pulled Natalie along the corridor as quickly as they could. They rushed past many a student, bumping into a few of them in their mad dash to find Alastor.

They found him in the hallway on the second floor, having an animated conversation with Nearly Headless Nick, the Gryffindor House ghost.

"Moody!" the brothers said in unison.

Alastor turned around just in time to dodge the three people speeding toward him.

"Oh dear!" said Sir Nicholas. "Whatever are you in a rush for, children?"

Fabian and Gideon looked at each other, then at Natalie.

"We would like to ask you a few questions about haunting, Sir Nicholas," Gideon said, shoving Natalie towards Alastor.

" Yes, we have a few professors we rather don't like, and We thought we could get a few ideas from you as to how we could haunt them when we die, " Fabian said, nudging Natalie more.

"Splendid! I would be happy to speak to you about my favorite past time."

The three began moving along the corridor, leaving Alastor alone with Natalie.

"So... how have you been?" said Al.

" I've been better. "

There was a long pause. Natalie twirled a piece of her pale, blonde hair between her fingers as Moody bobbed on the balls of his feet. The silence soon grew awkward as the two didn't know what to say.

Al spoke first. "Listen, Nat..." he said timidly. He wasn't quite sure if he should apologize or ask her for an explanation. "I just want to apologize for how I've treated you these past few months. I completely ditched you, and that wasn't fair."

" No, no. It's okay. It's not entirely your fault," she said glumly. "I've been... avoiding you. "

"I noticed. Do you want to tell me why?" he asked softly.

Natalie turned toward Al and looked right into his eyes. She took a deep breath, then, "Yes. Al, I know how you feel about me-- I've known for a long time now." Al's face fell. " For a while I just ignored it, but it got to a point where I just... couldn't stop thinking about it. I couldn't stop thinking about you. I dreamt about you, you never slipped my mind, and I fell-- fell hard. When I was finally ready to tell you, I went into the common room, and there you were, planning a date with Melissa. I-I just... lost it after that. I never left my dorm unless it was night time-- that's when I would go visit Sunny and the rest of the House Elves in the kitchen. After you and Melissa broke up, I realized how foolish i had been acting, and I just couldn't face you after what I did. "

Al stared at her. He took a few minutes to respond, and when he did...

"You idiot."
