Unedited so there will probably be some grammar errors and stuff like that. Hope it won't ruin the story though :)
Jay takes me to this small, house looking building that's a little distance outside of campus.
"Here's the president or whatever," Jay says softly.
He's been upset and quiet ever since we ran into Craig. He opens the door for me and I walk in. The inside looks just like a normal house. We're standing in what looked like a living room with a love seat and single chair facing a giant TV. I've never seen a TV before but heard of then around the poor side of the wall.
"Hitch?" Jay calls out.
"Yeah?" a man walks out of a room from the right.
Jay turns to me, "This is Hayden."
Hitch grins, "So, are you joining?"
I shift uncomfortably, "I guess so."
"Sit down," he mentions to the love seat, "You can stay too if you want, Jay."
We sit on the couch as Hitch sits in the single chair. I'm a little squished sitting next to Jay but there's nowhere else to.
"So," Hitch folds his hands in his lap, "What's your story."
I spend thirty minutes describing all the details of what happened and Hitch nods and mumbles words under his breath.
When I'm done, Hitch looks at Jay, "So you took up street fighting during the two months you were away."
Jay nods and Hitch continues, "May I ask why you did that?"
He thinks for a second and then answers, "I don't want to be weak."
Hitch looks surprised for a moment but it quick disappears, "You never struck me as that kind of person, Jay. That seems more like Craig-"
"Please don't mention him now."
A smile dances on Hitch's face as he speaks, "So, Hayden, we are called G.A.G. Which stands for group against government."
"How original," I mutter.
He chuckles, "I'm not a very original person. So basically there are three smaller groups that make up G.A.G. The fighters, the scouts, and the brains. Each group has a leader. They are the backbone of their own group and help make over all decisions with the rest of the leaders. Depending on what you are good at, you will work in each group every day and we will provide food, water, shelter, and all the essentials."
I blink, "Um, okay."
"So what group will Hayden be in?" Jay asks.
"The fighters of course."
Jay stands up, "Craig is the leader! You're really going to leave her in his group? Move me there too, I can help her out and-"
"I don't know what you have against Craig but I trust him," Hitch interrupts, "I'm not going to move you because you're the leader of the brains. Who am I going to make leader then?"
"There's Kelly, Vance-"
"It won't benefit us in anyway moving you to the fighters. Hayden can do fine on her own and Craig can show her the ropes."
"Please, Hitch-"
"I'm sorry, Jay. You can still spend your free time with her, but for now just leave her be."
Jay sits back down and doesn't speak.
"When do I start?" I ask.
"Craig should still be in the gym so go to him and he'll show you everything. Jay has to go back to his job after being gone for two months."
