Hi everyone! Sorry for the long wait (curse writer's block). Took me a while to come up with this but I hope you enjoy!

Unedited

I thankfully don't have to share a dorm room with anyone and when I walk in my room, Jay is sitting on my bed.

"What are you doing here?" I ask.

"Dunno," he answers.

"Okay then," I mention to the door, "Can you leave?"

He ignores me and I sigh. I'm going to some unwanted company for a while. I sit next to him and his hand immediately grabs mine. I stare at him as his eyes widen and he let's go.

"Sorry," he mumbles.

We sit there in silence until I finally ask, "Who was Megan?"

Jay stiffens and looks at me, "No one important."

"Don't lie, Jay," I say softly.

He takes a deep breath, "She was my girlfriend."

"And?" I press.

"We were friends when we were kids. Both our parents had died when we were really little and we only had each other. We often stole food and supplies to keep ourselves alive. As we got older, Megan started to have feelings for me and I had feelings for her too. We eventually joined G.A.G together and started to go out. It was hard because she was in the scout group and I'm on the brain one but we made it work."

"Jay-" I start.

"But one night, we had a huge fight. It was a stupid one... I don't even remember what it was about. We were both screaming and throwing things at each other. The next day, she was gone. She didn't leave a note or anything. We spent days looking for her but she never turned up," Jay chokes out.

"Oh," I whisper.

Jay doesn't say anything. He just stares at the ground with a painful expression.

"Do you still love her?" the words escape my mouth before I can stop them.

He looks at me surprised, "Why?"

"No reason," I say quickly.

"Oh," he smiles a little.

We sit there in silence until Jay speaks, "Can I stay with you tonight?"

"You're going to sleep on the floor?" I raise an eyebrow.

Jay suddenly looks flustered, "Um..."

It comes to me quickly, "Oh! Uh... I don't know."

I sound so smooth there, "You mean in the bed?"

"Forget it," he mumbles, "I'll just leave."

He stands up and starts walking to the door, but something inside me is screaming for me to do something.

"Wait," I say.

Jay turns around, "What?"

"N-nothing," I stutter.

An emotion flickers in Jay's eyes but he turns away and shuts my dorm door behind him.

I sigh and lay on top of my bed. I close my eyes and soon fall asleep.

The giant wall is looming in front of me but it looks different. Huge gaps randomly spread were on it and it seemed as though the wall is collapsing on its self. The air is filled with smoke and chemicals as I fall to the ground in a coughing fit.

"This is what will happen," a voice echoes.

"What? Who's there?" I rasp and continue to cough.

"You choose. What will happen is all up to you," the voice continues, "You must choose. Everything will fall or survive."

"Hayden?" a different voice comes from behind me.

"Jay?" I turn around and see him standing there.

"Remember-" he starts when something is shot through his torso.

"No!" I shriek as he falls to the ground.

He presses his hands against the bullet wound turning them red as the blood flowed. I look desperately for something to make the blood stop but Jay's breathing is already becoming heavy.

"Hayden," he chokes out.

"Don't die," I press my hands against his wound, "We need help-"

"Too late," he takes one last shaky breath until his eyes dull and his body goes limp.

"This is only a dream," I tell myself, "It's not real."

"It can be," the voice comes back, "You choose, Hayden."

I stare at my hands that are stained red from Jay's blood, "This isn't real. I'm just dreaming this up."

"If you keep telling yourself that, it will be too late," the voice fades out.

I sit upright in my bed. Sweat is trickling down my face as I try to calm myself.

"It isn't real," I whisper to myself.

"But it is," I almost believe I hear.

"Come on!" Craig growls under his breath.

"I'm trying!" I shout back as I leap away from his punch.

I couldn't fall back asleep after my dream and I just stayed up until I heard people running down the halls of the dorms. I was told to report to my group and I assumed our group meeting place is the gym. When I got there, Dallas and Craig were already there. Craig insisted that he was the only one that could train a newbie like me and we've been working hard for two hours so far. Dallas is doing his own things and occasionally sneaking glances at what we were doing.

"Show me what you got!" he throws a punch to the left as I dodge it.

"Shut up," I narrow my eyes as I attempt to trip his but fail.

"Focus!" he scowls and punches to the left.

"Ugh!" I grab his arm and try as hard as I can to flip a two hundred pound man over me. I fail and kind of confuse him and I take the opportunity to kick him hard in the stomach. He grunts but doesn't stop for a second.

He rips my hand from his arm and elbows me in the stomach. I fall to the ground and don't get up.

"I need a break," I pant.

"We just started," he argues.

"It's been two hours, Craig," I sit up.

"Fine," he rolls his eyes, "Be a wuss."

I stand up and slap him hard. Dallas chuckles loudly and Craig whips his head around to glare at him. Dallas stops and continues to use the weights.

"Oh yeah," Craig mumbles and looks back at me, "Here."

He digs something out of his pocket and hands me it. It's a very crumpled piece of paper. He climbs out of the fighting ring.

"Half hour break," he calls as he leaves the gym.

I open the paper and my eyes widen at what is written in neat hand writing.

Will you go out will me tonight?
