The Accidental Archangel

When Castiel was born the whole universe seemed to shine brighter.
Although, for the sake of the truth he wasn't born so much as created and, as soon as he was created the Archangels were called by God to take care of, and protect him. Gabriel adored his youngest brother, teaching him tricks and showing him having emotions is not a bad thing .They were an inseparable pair tricking everyone in heaven including God himself. Lucifer and Micheal were very protective,
treating Castiel as a son, they brought him down to Earth and taught him to fly,read,collect souls and how their world worked. Raphael didn't show any fondness or kindness to Castiel, they just avoided each other.
           Then one day, Lucifer turned bitter, it came as a surprise as he loved the humans and his sole job was praising God, whom he adored with
almost all his heart. So, a war started and Micheal and Lucifer, the first lovers, fought. They fought for  a
millennia, and during that time Castiel grew frail and weak, the more blood was shed the sicker and weaker he got, until the war came to a head and Gabriel was sent to tell his brother to stand down or be cast from heaven. All the angels waited on baited breath. Until, Gabriel came back bloody and bruised, barley able to fly due to his wings being bent at odd angles, it was the final straw, Micheal banished Lucifer to the cage, and the next day God disappeared. The only witness to God leaving, or more accurately being forced down from heaven, was Gabriel, who fled heaven fearful his fathers "killer" would come after him.
         Castiel forgot all about that period of his life, probably due to Naomi drilling into his head, creating the "perfect soldier". After the war, he was known as the weakest angel, and was only friends with Balthazar and Anna. He took up Gabriel's role of father to the younger angels, reading Metatron stories, teaching Samandriel to fly and playing with Hael. Castiel was not the strongest angel, nor was he the wittiest, but he always seemed to take notice of what his family cared about. He knew everything about every one of his brothers and sisters.
      Of course, everything changed when he met the Winchester boys. Who would tear his family apart and in the end become his new one. His new family with Dean Winchester, Sam,
Gabriel, Chuck, Kevin ,Charlie and of course everyone else. Castiel wasn't just the angel of Thursday, but no one knew that till now.
