I was to be married to Hephaestus. I'd be lying if I said I was happy about it.

Of all the other handsome gods, it was him I had to stay loyal too.

I keep wondering who I would've picked if it was up to me. I honestly didn't know. They were all handsome and very different from one another.

The goddesses helped me get ready. I feared it was only Artemis, Athena, and Hestia I would have a friendship with. They were the virgin goddesses, so no jealously.

Hera was the one to marry us. Obviously, being goddess of marriage.

Hephaestus's home was humble. We slept in different beds, though. He demanded to make mine for me. He was quite good at making riches.

But I tried not to use him for that. I felt bad enough I didn't want to sleep in the same bed I don't want to add on.

I also felt guilty for thinking about in the other gods. Gosh there was Apollo, Hermes, and my favorite, Ares. Of course o didn't know too much about them, and I knew even less about Ares. He was always at away at war. I barley have seen him since my first arrival.

They had named me the Goddess of Love, Beauty, Seduction, and Pleasure.

Early in the morning, I walked out the house. The grass was tall and there was a quiet lake nearby. Nothing was seen across the flat horizon, just quiet mornings and nights.

I sat in the grass and looked out, ready to watch the sun rise up. Slowly, the yellow sun showed itself.

I smiled and laid down. "Aphrodite." I heard. I sat up and turned to see Hermes. "What are you doing here, Hermes?"I asked.

"Just stopping by." He said and sat beside me. "I could use a little company." I said.

"You know a lot of things, right Hermes?" I asked. He nodded proudly. "Then, could you tell me why I was married to Hephaestus?" I asked.

"Because no one would feel offended if you were married to him, and plus, they knew you wouldn't be the happiest about this arrangement, so you could slip in some secret boyfriend, like a very funny messenger god?" He joked and wiggled his eyebrows.

I laughed. "How subtle." I said sarcastically. I leaned on his shoulder.

"Must be lonely, with your husband gone for so long." Hermes said. "It is." I said getting closer to his face. "Very lonely." I said, then kissed him. To my satisfaction, he kissed back...
