Kind of a Flirt

Could you believe it? I was nervous. Me, Aphrodite, nervous about winning Ares's affection. Why? I mean, he had already asked for my hand.

I decided to lay off for the time being and watched the sun rise. Hephaestus does leave quite early in the morning.

I went and sat in the grass, I was cool and calm. The earth was silent. Well it was, until I heard a noise. I turned to see it was Hermes, but I could tell he wasn't here on a social visit.

"Hello." I said. "Your presence is needed on Mt. Olympus. There is a child coming." He said.

I turned back around as he left. I waited a minute and the sun came into sight. I sighed and went back into the house.

I changed my most breathtaking dress I owned and went on my way.

When I arrived, I saw most of the gods there. Though, some were not, as they could not attend due to their duties.

There was Athena, Artemis, Poseidon, Hermes, Zeus, Hera, Hestia, Dionysus, and Ares. I spotted him from where I stood. Only the Olympian Gods were present.

I decided to gain their attention very slightly. I strutted my way right past the boys and sat in my seat. Well that took their attention quick.

Instantly, they looked my way, its like beauty is just an alarm clock. It always just gains attention with the flip of a switch. But hey, I wasn't complaining.

I looked in there direction and gave a little wave. They started to blush. Honestly, this was the best thing ever. I could get any guy I wanted by batting my eyelashes.

I truly do not understand the decision of virginity. After my time with Hermes, well, why wouldn't you want that?

"Silence!" Zeus yelled. "Take your seats." He boomed. Apparently, the thrones were divided between Gods and Goddesses.

My throne was in between Artemis and where Demeter would be, but she was not in the room.

Zeus started talking about a new baby from someone, but my mind kept drifting off to Ares.

I snapped out of it when Demeter came in with a baby.

The olympians started to gaze at the adorable child. "Aw, she's adorable." I said.

After the whole, 'look, a baby' thing, we celebrated. Y'know. Eating, drinking, and talking... Flirting.

I was sitting with the ladies, while the men, were being, well men. I'm quite sure they were all drunk, but whatever right?

Me and the Goddesses were chatting, when Apollo came up to me.

"Aphrodite, I just wanna say, you're looking stunning today." I sighed. He was drunk. I stood from my chair and faced Apollo.

"Thank you, could you actually do something real quick for me?" I said sweetly before whispering something in his ear. His eyes widened and he ventured off.

I told him he needed to get me a dove, an arrow from Artemis and a golden apple, then I'd kiss him.

Of course, I might've done it without the list, but it was fun to watch him squirrel around.

The funniest thing was watching him try to get an arrow from Artemis. Once he finally got one, I don't see him for another hour.

But when the hour passed, Apollo came running towards me. In his hands were an arrow, a dove, and a golden apple. I told him to get rid of it, he was confused, but did, then I gave a big kiss, right on the lips.

Let me tell you, it gained attention. Luckily, not from anyone really important who would ruin the marriage I have, but some were not happy, while Apollo was the happiest man alive.

But maybe not the luckiest, as he got into a fight. With Ares. It got pulled apart by Athena, who then gave me a scowl.

It doesn't matter, I'm aware of what I can do, and I plan to use it.
