With a groan, Amy stood to call for the driver. She didn't want Luke to come here and see that she was lying. If that happened.  . . She shook her head quickly to erase the aftermath of the imagination.

She decided to wait for Simon to bring his siblings instead of going to Mr Maygeld's room herself. It was intrusion of privacy, and nobody liked intruders. She gasped to herself and stopped the train of thought, lightly slapping her face. The door opened.

Oh, no. Why was Luke back so soon? The patter of tiny feet and Jess's croonings released a relieved sigh from her. She stood, and on Jess seeing her, ran into her mother's arms. Amy scrunched her nose, the smell of Jess's diaper was overwhelming.

"Simon, please look after your siblings until I get back," She told the younger boy, before hurrying out of the door and to the lobby. Amy doubted that Luke had already ordered the driver to bring the little luggage in, and knowing the driver had been in Luke's company for more years than she'd been married to him, knew of his unending loyalty to him, and knew that even if he witnessed Luke's abuse of her times without number, he would never utter a word. She smiled bitterly at the thought of reporting him to police based on harassment. At least, it would set her children free.

She looked at the cluster of cars and shook her head. She was a fool. How would she even know which car was which? Her husband had told her that the conference was going to be tomorrow, and now, her phone wasn't with her. She decided to search her way to Luke's car.

Not surprisingly, she saw it after few minutes, as they came there early. The driver was nowhere to be found.

He was with the key.

Where could the driver be, Amy wondered, as she walked back to the hotel lounge, hoping she could catch the driver. Her phone was in the car, there was no way she could call him, or anyone for that matter. Besides, Jess's diaper bag was in the car, and she had to change her quickly, because, Quite obviously, she stank, and Luke could not know she lied. She desperately prayed that Mr Maygeld was not done with his showing her husband around the suites.

Twenty, thirty minutes passed, and she still had not found the driver. Her hands sweated, her forehead sheened. She looked around, once more, her eyes roving frantically around the numerous cars, before she sighted the driver. She called for him, hurrying to him, silently murmuring a prayer of thanks.

He gave her the bag, and she, with her children, power walked to the elevators. Her feet tapped on the polished floors anxiously, until she reached her door. Amy's heart thudded in her chest as she reached the door and turned the knob.
