*The next day*

Since the sudden kiss of confusion, neither Scott, nor Mitch, have made a sound.

While Mitch lays in his bed, thinking of what that kiss might mean, Scott walks around the house, acting as if nothing had happened.

Seeming like it's been forever, Scott makes lunch around 12:03 pm.

Mitch smells the food, which means Scott is awake.

After getting up from his bed and fixing his appearance, Mitch puts on a smile and skips to the kitchen where he sees the tall blonde boy with shining blue eyes wearing his black skinny jeans and a rather baggy, but still perfectly fit , blue shirt with white clouds on it.

He smiles at the sight of Scott and tickles his sides.

Mitch: Hey, Scotty!

He says with a happy sound in his voice.

Scott jumps and slams his fists down on the counter.

Scott: Don't do that!

He snaps.

Mitch jumps a bit, un-expecting that response.

Mitch: Sorry..I just was happy to see you!

He smiles, reassuring Scott that he meant to be friendly and not like he wanted to scare him.

Scott: Why?

He says as he continues to cook, but with a sassy tone in his voice.

Mitch shrugs, looking down a bit as he watches Scott's hands work on the food.

Mitch: I-

Scott: We're not friends. Okay?

Mitch: But we-

Scott: That doesn't mean anything!

Mitch: But-

Scott: I was nice to you yesterday because I felt sorry for you!

Mitch: But wh-

Scott: Because you're a helpless little boy who can't take care of himself! I mean you're living in a stranger's friends house for god sake! Not even that, but his friends are strangers too!

He yells as he continues to cut off Mitch.

Mitch: But we-

Scott: Forget about everything that happened! Okay?! Nothing happened! Nothing!

Tears begin to form in Mitch's eyes as he stares at the furious Scott yelling at him.

Mitch: But I-

Scott: Nothing.

He glares.

With a deep breath and a slight nod, Mitch leaves the room while wiping his tears.

Scott sighs and continues to cook.

When he gets to his room, Mitch finds a small journal. Luckily it's blank.

He grabs his pencil that he uses to write his song and starts a little diary type thing.

*Mitch's Journal*

June 28, 2014

I don't know what happened...yesterday was amazing! He didn't yell at me, he didn't give me dirty stares, and he didn't keep away! He actually invited me to hang around town WITH him!!! I was so excited but so scared at the same time...

What if I were to see my...the Hoying family?

What if we got beaten up for being runaways?

What if Scott was planning something to embarrass me...or worse..hurt me?

But as we walked and laughed at random things, all of my worries went away! I don't know why..I was scared out of my mind, but as soon as I looked up to see his baby blue eyes sparkling and his rare, but beautiful smile on his lips, I immediately felt lily nothing could ever hurt me..something about him made me feel safe and happy, but scared and sad at the same time...

Why does he want to forget what happened yesterday? I know he had fun too!

And the kiss...oh god the kiss...

It was sudden, but amazing! It was confusing, but hot! It was soft, but rough! It made absolutely NO sense!.....but I liked it...and I know he did too...

What could possibly be wrong with him that makes him this way?

Why doesn't he want to tell anyone?

Why won't he let me help him?

*In Mitch's room*

Right now, Mitch was feeling a bunch of emotions all at once. Guilt, anger, fear, confusion, and sadness..but mostly, happiness.

He felt safe around Scott. Most of the time, and the fact Scott was rough and mysterious made Mitch's feelings toward him grow stronger.

As he layed on his bed, thinking for what seems like forever, Mitch thinks of a plan.
