Let's Do Nothing

*The next day*

The next day was filled with nothing but rain, so Scott and Mitch decided to stay inside and do nothing.

Mitch jumps as he hears the thunder crash loudly while sitting on the couch and looking out the window.

Scott: You scared?

He laughed as he asked.

Mitch: What?...no! Of course not! It's just a little rain!

Mitch said in response in hopes of not seeming too scared.

Scott just laughed and shook his head.

Scott: So what do you wanna do today?

Mitch: I dunno..we could watch another mov-...never mind.

He said as the room became dark and quiet.

Scott: I like it!

Mitch: What? The storm?

Scott: Yeah! It's exciting!!!

He practically yelled excitedly.

Mitch's response was filled with disgust.

Mitch: Egh I hate storms...

Scott: Why? I mean, if you aren't scared.

He snapped as he sat beside Mitch on the couch. Their faces lit up from the lightening as the power stayed out.

Mitch: Because I-what was that?!

He asked in a panicked voice.

Scott: What was what?

He asked as Mitch pointed behind Scott but towards the window.

Mitch: I..I..I saw something!

Scott: Like what? No one is outside in this storm! You can't see anything with the rain and wind.

Mitch: No, I definitely saw something!

Scott: Like what?

Mitch: I don't know..but it was small..but big..and it was creepy and walking on all fours!

Scott: It was probably just a rat.

Scott responded as he made himself comfortable.

Mitch: A rat?!

Scott: Or a dog.

Mitch shook his head.

Mitch: No..no..no that was NOT a dog! Dogs aren't freakin' creepy little shits that scare the fuck out of people!

Scott just laughed at Mitch's words.

Mitch: It's not funny!

He snapped.

Scott: Fine fine fine! I'll go check it out.

Mitch: Okay..

He said as he began to calm himself down as Scott got up and looked around the windows.

Mitch: Do you see anything?

Scott shook his head as he looked out the kitchen window.

Scott: Nope. Not a thing but rain.

Mitch: Whew!

He sighed in relief.

Mitch: Maybe it's gone..

Scott: Yeah, I guess.

As Scott walked back to Mitch, Mitch's eyes widened as he saw the creature watching them in the window.
