Alexis POV
**A DAY LATER**
We arrived in California today and drove to our apartment. We finally found it after pulling out our phones and buying an actual gps. It was one of the nicest apartments we looked at. How we afforded it you ask? We've been saving up since we were 7 by shovelling snow in the winter, raking leaves in the fall, and selling lemonade in the spring and summer. My parents never knew I did this but if they would've just let me do chores like every other kids, I wouldn't of had to sneak around to Caroline's house to make money.
We walked into the empty apartment which we had yet to furnish. We were both exhausted but we couldn't just sleep on the floor.
"Ikea shopping then swedish meatballs?" Caroline asked. She knew me so well.
"Let's go," I grabbed to keys to my car and walked out of the apartment, locking the door as I left.

We were walking down the aisles of Ikea, looking for a bedspread for me.
"Hey how about this one?" Caroline asked holding up a cute English flag bedspread. She knew I loved all things to do with other countries.
"YES OMG I LOVE ITT," I said like a little kid on Christmas as she put it in my cart.
**3 HOURS LATER**
We finally finished shopping for furniture and I am SO EXHAUSTED. But guess what? Its SWEDISH MEATBALL TIME.
We walked to the cafeteria area and got swedish meatballs. Once we finished them, we threw away the plates when I walked into a boy.
"Oh I'm so sorry," I said looking up at him. Hey he's kinda cute...
"No its totally my fault," he said "Are you ok?" I looked up at him. Damn he was dreamy.
"Yeah Im fine," I said.
"Kian," he said putting out his hand "Kian Lawley."
"Alexis," I said shaking his hand "Alexis Holland."
"Kian what's taking so long," a boy coming up behind him yelled. Three boys soon came up behind him.
"OH HE'S TALKING TO A PRETTY GIRL GUYS," another one yelled. I blushed and so did Kian.
"USE PROTECTION," the third one yelled and I laughed.
"Oh uh Alexis," Kian said rubbing the back of his neck "This is JC, Ricky, and Connor." He pointed to each one as he said their names "Guys this is Alexis."
"So uh Alexis," The JC one said "You free Friday night?"
"Uh no she's not," Caroline butted in.
"Oh and what's your name?" JC asked.
"My name's none of your business," Caroline said looking him dead in the eye "Come on Alexis, let's go." Before I could respond, she grabbed my wrist and dragged me away from them. Kian caught up to us.
"Umm before you go Alexis," he said messing with his dark brown hair "Can I get your number?"
"Yeah of course," He handed me his phone and I handed him mine. Caroline gave me a mad look and walked to the car. He gave me my phone back and I gave him his. He gave me an awkward hug and walked back to his friends. I was about to catch up to Caroline to see what her deal was but I heard cheers coming from the boys and looked back. I shook my head, smirking and walked to catch up to Caroline.
"Yo what is your problem today?" I asked when I finally caught up.
"Nothing's my problem," she said refusing to look me in the eye.
I gave her the 'I know your lying' look.
"Alright fine," she said "You know how I had that online boyfriend who broke up with me for no reason?" I nodded my head. "Well you just met him. Kian Lawley. That was his posey who said it would be 'better for his career'."
