Reaves leaned back on the bench and looked at the ceiling. Of all the ways to end a day. He felt like he'd been a complete waste of time for everyone. Especially Maddox.

All of this for the slim chance she might forgive him. Which would probably not happen. But, he just wanted the one chance to see if she would.

And now he's laying in a holding cell.

He heard footsteps approaching down the hallway. He turned over and saw Emily standing and smiling. Reaves sat up and walked over.

"Hi, what are you doing here?" Reaves asked.

"One of the officers brought me by to answer some questions. Then Detective Maddox told me where you were. Can't say I'm surprised. I mean, you did seem like a trouble maker," Emily told him.

"Mhm, I've been told that a few times."

She laughed and he managed a chuckle.

"I have to say, this isn't entirely how I imagined getting to know you better," Reaves said before leaning against the cell wall.

Emily smiled and then nodded.

"I'm really glad London didn't kill you. Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten a first date," Emily said.

Reaves chuckled and looked at her. He couldn't believe he'd met someone who cared quite like she did. And he'd only really talked to her once.  When they separated at the Hotel he wasn't sure he'd get to speak to her again. Especially after the trial was dismissed.

Separated.

She never saw London try and shoot him. In fact, no one knew outside of the precinct.

"Who Uh, who told you London tried to shoot me?" Reaves asked.

"A police officer or something," Emily replied.

Reaves looked away and then cleared his throat.

"Why'd you do it Emily?" Reaves asked. "Why'd you kill those people?"

"What? What are you-"

"Look me in the eyes and tell me you didn't kill those people?"

Emily scoffed at him and stepped back. She just looked at him and then her expression changed. It wasn't innocent or sweet. It was blank. Then she cleared her throat.

"I guess it was only a matter of time before the great Nathan Reaves figured it out. You beat the Chameleon," Emily said to him.

"Your the Executioner. You blackmailed your own brother to do it," Reaves replied.

"Yes and no. The Executioner isn't just one person. But I am the one who's been killing these jurors. You all deserved it though. It's only fair. And my brother, was less planned than it seemed."

Reaves smacked the cell, "Fair?! You've tried to have me killed two times!"

Emily laughed as she pulled out a duffle bag from under a bench. She unzipped it and he could tell she was pressing buttons.
