Mother mine
You are divineYour lullabies sweet
Put me to sleepYou carried me around
Like treasure profoundOn my first step
Caught me before my fallWhen my eyes did well
Your heart did weepOn first day of my school
At the gates you fretHunger I never knew
Neither for love nor foodYou're lessons were hard, but
Eased my life's challengesUnderstood the woman you are
Now that I am a motherThe different roles you played
Never realised how tough they wereYou had your ups and downs
But never let it be knownI feel so honored
That I am your daughterMother mine
You are divine
