What is this peace?
That everyone diligently seeks
Where is this peace?
Is it within reach?
Everyone around preaches
Accuse each other of breaches
In this world of hate and distrust
Peace is stretched to ultimate stress
Is it to be so sought
That battles for it were fought
How can one justify
For the bloodshed and tears
And still the search continues
No lessons learnt from past mistakes
Peace is love, it is joy
Peace is trust and respect
Peace is to let be
And it is all within us
When it is not within
Why seek it out?
Let go, let go the monster ego within
For then peace can make its abode
And the world can be a better place
