CHAPTER 4

Pangalawang araw

Silent eveloped us, no one's talking nor making noise. Rinig na rinig ko ang tibok ng puso ko. I don't actually regret what I did. Everything happens for a reason, siguro hindi talaga para sa akin ang pagiging lawyer.

In law, you speak just for you to express your feelings.
But in arts, you can deeply express it without explaining what does it mean.

"Magpapahinga muna ako sa kwarto" Paalam ko, he nod.

May dalawang kwartong nakapaloob sa yate, isa para sa aming babae at isa naman para sa mga lalake.

After 10 minutes of waiting, I jumped. Pumunta ako sa gilid at dun lang lumangoy I'm not that good in swimming, I mean I can swim but I'll drown if the water level is too high for me. I tried to swim and swim just to forget about things, but suddenly I felt that something is missing.

"The bracelet!" Nilibot ko ang aking mga mata, I tried searching but I couldn't find it! I can't miss it! Hindi ko na napigilan ang iyak ko dahil lumipas ang ilang minuto, hindi ko pa rin ito makita. 

"Ito ba ang hinahanap mo?" Someone at my back asked. I covered my face with my two hands dahil mukha akong tangang umiyak. The voice isn't familiar for me.

Minutes passed, no one dares to talk.

"Look, miss. Is this what you're looking for? Don't cover your face, Hindi ako masamang tao." Malumanay niyang sabi. Dahan dahan kong inalis ang kamay ko sa pagkakatakip sa aking mukha. I looked at his hands, it was our friendship bracelet. I want to get it, but I can't move. I looked at his face, He looks like 19, the same age as mine. His hair was too black, it was messy and the waters falling out on his hair, he has red lips, a brown eye, and a masculine body.

Kinuha niya ang kaliwa kong kamay at isinuot sakin ang bracelet. Am I look pathetic right now? "Here, ingatan mo na sa susunod. My father entrusted me to watch over you and I saw the bracelet fall out from your hands and I thought that it's important to you kaya dali-dali kong kinuha at hinanap kung nasaan ka" I didn't see it coming, my mind was too occupied.

I smiled at him. "Nagtatrabaho ka din ba sa mansion?" I asked. 

"Ang ama lang, isinama niya lang ako dahil ako ang maglilibot sainyo sa Del Mora" 

"let's go back" Aya niya. Nagsimula na siyang lumangoy, I looked around and I was relieved when I didn't see any of them. Ibinalik ko ang tingin ko sa lalakeng nagbalik sa akin nung bracelet at dali-dali siyang sinundan.

Umakyat muna ako sa yate dahil medyo kumakalam na ang tiyan ko, I saw all of them already eating. The boy handed me a towel and I covered my body with it bago umupo sa hapag kainan. Rundll gave me a plate with a spoon and pork. Kumuha na ako ng gusto kong kainin at nagsimula ng kumain, they're all talking and laughing while me and drake can't say anything. Tahimik lang kami pareho, ang lalakeng nagbigay pala sa akin ng bracelet kanina ay sandro ang pangalan at tatay niya ang nagmamaneho ng yateng gamit namin ngayon. 

After we ate, tumambay muna ako sa kabilang parte ng yate. I brought one chair at nagtimpla ako ng kape para makapagrelex, I love this kind of feeling. I took a sip on my coffee at ninamnam ang simoy ng hangin. I forgot to bring my book, pangarap ko pa namang makapagbasa habang bumabyahe sa karagatan. 

"You want this, right? I saw you looking at it for a long time. Happy birthday, ley!" I looked at his hands, He's holding a book of I Watched Him Fall For Someone Else, Yung Punto de vista ng biscuit ko!

"Thank you! Thank you, Aki!" I hugged drake so tight! He pats my head and whispered "It's nothing" 

"Happy birthday to you" They sang, I'm having a birthday party. Yay! I already turned to a 13 years old teenage girl! 

After the party dali-dali akong pumunta sa terrace para makapagbasa. Kinuha ko ang upuan at inilagay kung saan ang pwesto ko tuwing nagbabasa. 

"Ley." Aki called me. Napatingin ako sa kanan ko, he's holding a book. 

"Yep? Wanna exchange books?" Katabi lang ng bahay namin ang bahay ng kambal na si drake at rundll, they also have terrace kaya naman madali naming nakakausap ang isa't isa. 

"Can I borrow the My Heart and other Black Holes? the one that Jasmine Wanga wrote" He asked. I signaled him to wait for me. Bumalik ako sa kwarto ko at nagsimulang hanapin ang librong gusto niyang basahin. That's our bonding, isang beses nga, we exchanged books at nagbasa hanggang sa mag-umaga. 

"Here" I handed him the book. 

"Thanks" He said and patted my head at nagsimulang magbasa.

Natigil ako sa pagbabalik tanaw ng may pumokpok sa ulo ko. I diverted my attention to him, Aki. 

"Here, I brought books" Kinuha ko ang libro sa kamay niya, he placed the chair near me at umupo and he started reading. 

I scanned the book, It was entitled "Ugly love" Written by Colleen Hoover. I've been dying to read this! Ilang beses ko na 'tong hinahanap pero hindi ko man lang makita.

Love isn't always pretty. Sometimes you spend all your time hoping it'll be eventfully be something different

I looked at him, I smiled.

I suddenly felt my heart hurting.

Love, why'd people still wanted you even though all you did was destroy us in such a chaotic way?

Ibinalik ko ang tingin ko sa libro at nagsimula na uling magbasa.

My dream came true.
