Chapter 2: Regaining old memories

Naoki

I felt so confused, why is having this game felt this is where I belong?

The girl next to Kai seems to be watching, as if she was curious about something, something that worries her. 

I shook the way she was looking at me as we yell in unison, "Stand up , my Vanguard." 

Kai took a card from his deck as he looks directly into my eyes. "This isn't the first time playing Vanguard, Naoki." 

I ask, "What you mean?" That was when the girl said, "You got to be kidding me! You really don't remember anything about Vanguard, or the person who taught you?"

My head was fuzzy as if I tried to remember. 

The image was blurry, but the voice is familiar. 

"Naoki, let's have a Cardfight! "  The mysterious person said. 

"Let's do this! I bring out an memory from the past! " The boy declares. 

He placed an familiar avatar. That was when I recognize it, Blaster Blade, the spitting image of the person I knew the most. "Stand up, my avatar, Blaster Blade!"   

I couldn't believe it. 

The determination, the firey in my heart to begin Vanguard, it was all because of Aichi. 

"Aichi... Sendou."  I said, as tears flooded in my eyes. 

"You ... remember?" I knew the voice well. 

"I do. Thanks to you .. Kai." 

He said to the girl, "Min, is something wrong?" 

Min said, "I'm just glad that you remember Aichi."

Min

Naoki seems to be angry with himself. "Why? Why I forget Aichi, the one who helped me of introducing to Vanguard?!?"

I said, "Naoki, don't beat yourself up about this. Kai and I are your friends too, your mates. " 

He turns serious, "How you still remember him if what you told me that no one has a recollection of Aichi saving the world from Link Joker?" 

I said, "I wished that we have the answer to that, really I do. I really wanted to know to what happened to him." 

He stands up, "You mean you and Kai don't have the slightest clue where he is?!? Man, why now?"

Kai said, "As much I put it, it seems like only the people we know has their memories erased of the existence of Reverse and Link Joker. 

We need to find our friends and together we can find Aichi." 

Naoki said, "That's a good call, Kai. It seems like you changed a lot since then." 

He rubs his head, "You really think I've changed that much? I'm still mad at Aichi for disappearing on us." 

I sighed, even though we have an old ally within us, it still brings an total mystery to me that Aichi's most trusted avatar, Blaster Blade, came to Kai and me. 

I was lost in thought as Naoki looks at me with a curious face. "Hey, you're Min, right? I don't remember seeing you with Kai before." 

"Well, I am friends with Kai. He  keeps his life private as long as possible . I met Aichi when Kai and Aichi were in Team Q4. He taught me how to play Vanguard in the first place. 

I was also part of the Reversed, which I truly regret. 

I never thought this would happen. Why now? I have so many questions left unanswered , like it's a big mystery. 

I just hope Aichi is safe, wherever he is." I said. 

Kai touches my shoulder, "Min, don't worry. We'll figure all this out. " 

I smiled, as Naoki makes a fist pump, "And we'll find Aichi together , no matter what! " 

Kourin

I was in the Moon Place Sanctuary with Aichi who was sleeping in the throne. I was still trying to stay positive of the situation he was in, but I still couldn't believe it.

"Oh, Aichi, why? Why you didn't you let Emi, Kai, and the other Cardfighters know about your situation in the first place?"  I thought in my mind as I see the blue-haired boy .

"Aichi will be fine, Kourin. As long the seals are up, he and Planet Cray would be saved from destruction ."

I turned to see one of my friends who was leaning in the side of the Moon Place.

"Gaillard. " I said to my surprise as he looks at our friend. 

"You know this is what Aichi would've wanted. He doesn't want any of us to be hurt . I must go." He said, walking past me. 

"Gaillard, where you going? Is something wrong?" I ask him with a curious tone.

"Just taking care of something . I will be back, I promise." He reassures me, "Just keep on eye on Aichi, ok?"

 I nodded, as I begin to wonder, would anyone remember Aichi?
