Chapter 7: A Cardfight Practice!

I was staring at the Unit that Blaster Blade had given me. I remembered what he had said to me, before I was transferred back to Card Capital. 

"She would be there when you are in your darkest hour." 

I wonder what he meant. Does it have to do with Aichi? I was lost in thought as Kamui said, "Min! Min!" 

I stared at the Cardfighter who was curious of what I was thinking. "Oh, hi, Kamui. " 

Kamui asks, "What is that card you're holding , Min? Is it a new Unit that we need to know about?" 

I put the card into my back pocket, "It's something that I need to figure out myself, Kamui. Where are Naomi and the others?"

"Naomi is checking out anything suspious , maybe finding a clue that would lead us to Aichi." 

It must've been way much harder on Kamui the most. Aichi was his mentor, his best friend, and both of them consider each other as brothers.

I knew that I have to get Kamui to feel better, and that was when I knew exactly what he needed. 

I went towards the Vanguard battle stage practice board as Kamui ask, "Min, what you-" 

"Care for a Cardfight, Kamui?"

As I saw Min , she seems to be aware that I was struggling with the search for Big bro. 

She said, "Care for a Cardfight, Kamui?"

I said, "It seems like you haven't changed since the Invasion of the Reverse. You always want a match since Kai was reversed." 

"C'mon! Kai and Aichi are the best Cardfighters in Vanguard! If I have to face one of them, I have to practice on my Cardfighting skills and I do need a match to help me with my deck I have customized with. " 

I smiled, "Well, if you put it that way, let's do it! " 

"Stand up, Vanguard!" We said in unison.  

Min said, as she drew a card from her deck, "You know, Kamui, I am quite surprised of you, seeing how much you improved since you forgotten Aichi. 

You're stronger , and intense Cardfighter." 

I blushed at her comment, "Awe, Min, I mean, that is something I never got to say about that. I am not that strong yet like Big Bro, but when I face him again, I will not hold anything back." 

She smiles, "I wouldn't be any way . Besides, when we do find the Quatre Knights and lead us straight to Aichi, the first thing I want to do when I see him is to slap him on the face for making us worry." 

I chuckled, seeing that she was still pretty mad at Big Bro, but who could've blame her? She, Kai and Big Bro are best friends as long they remember. 

I said, "Don't worry, I assure you that you will get that chance, Min. Besides, I'm curious too." 

Min asks, as she puts a Unit in her rear guard, "What you mean, Kamui? Is something on your mind?" 

"I was thinking about the Quatre Knights and their connection with everything had happened so far. 

What's their connection with Aichi's disappearance, and everyone's memories about him being erased? 

It's not like Big bro I know." 

Min sighs, "I have to admit , I totally agree with you on that one. It doesn't sound like Aichi at all. I wonder what he could be thinking?"

We remain silent, unknowing the answer to that question ourselves.

The wind is telling me that something had happened. I knew it had to be about Aichi. Even though I refused his offer, I still am wondering if this is the right thing about his situation. 

He helped me a lot ever since I was effected with Psyqualia, he never gave up on me, and maybe this time, 

This time, it's my turn to return the favor. I reached to my cellphone to call Ren. 

"Ren, I think it's time for Aichi's friends to locate him. Even now, I sensed that their memories had returned. " 

Ren nods, "If Kai or the others show up, I'll act like I don't know the truth, even though I do think it was foolish of keeping it a secret from his friends like this." 

"I know. But they have to know the truth sooner or later and convince Aichi that he wasn't alone." I said, as I look at the distance of my isle. 

"Aichi..."  I thought of my friend in total worry.
