Raven leaned in to Robin's lips, but he pushed her away. She asked him why, and the answer she received made her heart break. "You know I love Starfire." She watched the words leave his lips, as he walked towards Starfire's room, the door shutting in Raven's face. She let her back hit a wall, and slid down, head in hands. Her cries were soft and muffled. Her father's voice wriggled into her head. "I told you, no one could ever love you."
Raven awoke with a start. This happened every time. The rare times where her dreams were pleasant, they always ended as a nightmare. She pulled herself out of bed, pulling on her cloak. It was 3:07. No need to wake everyone up. Raven let her door slide open, and walked towards the kitchen. The doors opened with a hiss, and she went over towards her tea. As she prepared some herbal tea, a noise interrupted the quiet scene. She turned slowly, and saw a figure move towards the couch. A sense of happiness entered her mind. Starfire. It was the last person Raven expected to see at 3 A.M. Starfire turned towards Raven, and jumped. "Oh, it is just you, friend Raven." Raven nodded, took her tea, and sat on the other side of the couch. "What are you doing up so early?" She asked, taking a sip of tea. Starfire shuddered, as if seeing something horrible. "My little Bumgorf has eaten one of my outfits, and it just now came back out of Silkie's mouth." Raven almost spit out her tea. "That's........ gross." Starfire frowned, "Indeed. Raven, what are you doing up at the time of 3 A.M?" Raven set her tea down. "I couldn't sleep." Starfire looked down. "That is most unfortunate. When I do not sleep, I get very unhappy." Raven looked to her. "I think grumpy might be a better word." Starfire nodded, and got up. "I think it is best if I go back to Silkie and clean up the mess." She flew out of the room, leaving Raven to finish her tea. Raven felt a new emotion towards Starfire. It wasn't anger, nor hate. Could it be? Jealousy? I'm not jealous of Starfire! She yelled at herself inside. Then something hit her. The nightmare. It had to be that, right? It was foolish of her to be jealous. Whenever Robin and Starfire were near, she felt for any emotion from Robin that would signify attraction, but found nothing. Her emotions were getting the best of her. She finished her tea and began to walk back towards her room. She passed Starfire's room and heard her talking to Silkie. Yep, she had no right to be jealous. Like Robin would love to help Starfire with her "pet". Raven almost laughed at herself, almost. Jealous was the last thing she needed to be.
