~a week later~
I laugh as Nate trying to tell me a joke but fails. Me,Hayley and Nate have been spending our time together lately. Since he's my boyfriend now,duh?

I'm leaning against the locker as Hayley left to her class. Nate lean in and smile at me. I giggle and he bite his lip. He grip my waist and kiss me. I kiss him back and pull away.

"I need to go. See ya." I walk away and walk to class. I walk while smiling to myself. I look up and Daniel walk passed me while smirking. He and I stopped talking ever since.

But I'm doing pretty good and he's been making out with girls like he usually does. Bad boys.

~at home~
I lay on my bed while listening to some music and go through some notes I've written. I yawn and check the time. It's only 5 pm.

As I rest my head on my pillow, my mom yell my name from the living room. I quickly get off the bed and run downstairs. I walk in the living room breathlessly.

"Mom, you shouted my name like you were hurt. What the hell?" I breathlessly lean against the wall and feel relief to see that my mom's okay. She chuckle and shake her head.

"Have a seat,Ver." I sit done across her and look at her. "Well, I don't know if this is a good news for you or not but it is for me. You ready to hear it?" I look at her worriedly and nodded.

"Aunt Linda is getting married." She happily clap her hand. Her face lighten up and I've never seen her this glad when someone is getting married.

"Mom, you're not lying, right?" She shake her head happily and I smile widely. I get off the stool and hug her. "Ohmygod, I can't believe she's getting married!"

I laugh and she just smile. "It's in two weeks so we're all gonna be busy preparing,okay?" I nodded and smile.

Aunt Linda is my favorite aunt among my three aunties. She was 20 when she first got married to some douche bag. She found out that he cheated on her with her own best friend.

She was brokenhearted for years then one day the guy came back to her and ask her for forgiveness. He was broke so definitely all he wants from her is money. She ignore him and move on.

I love her for being strong and independent unlike other woman, always fall for a guy when they sweet talk girls. So weak. I always ask her for love advices or how to hurt a guy.

I quickly head upstairs and grab my phone to text Hayley.

Me: Hayl! Clear your plans for the weekend in 2 weeks.

Hayley: Why?

Me: My aunt is getting married!

Hayley: Aunt Linda?! For real?!

Me: Yes! Please come..

Hayley: Of course I will, she's like my favorite person ever!

Me: Thank you! I luv u!

Hayley: Ver, when are you and Daniel gonna be best friends again? I know you're gonna hate me for asking you this but idc.

Me: I don't know ,Hayl. He doesn't want to talk to me or look at me. I guess god want us to stop being best friends for good. I miss him,Hayl. I really do.

Hayley: I know you do. Well, I gtg. I love you!

Me: ❤

I tossed my phone on the bed and cry quietly. I miss him. I miss talking to him, laughing with him, hugging him, teasing him and fucking regret going out on a date with his rival and ditched him.

I wish I was more smarter in making decisions that looks easy. I know that Nate is my boyfriend now but I'm not happy at all. Not even a little bit.

Cuz Daniel is not there to stand by me. I hate him, I really do for hating me like this. But it's a lie if I say I don't miss him at all.

I'm not gonna say sorry to him cuz I know he'll tease me for being weak af. But this needs to put a stop,just not now. I'm not ready and I have a big event coming up.

Focus, Veronica. Don't think about him. Focus.
