Henry's POV: ( Though Henry may be blind, he is still an ordinary human being but just has a bit of an disadvantage

Luke stopped the car, we both waited in silence.

"Well?" I don't know how I was suppose to feel but to be able to get eyes that quick from a donor was a miracle and I know for a thought, it wouldn't happen so quickly if I denied it.

"Are you sure..you want to do this?" Luke asked.  I hesitated, having someone elses' eyes was going to be weird but I was going to make sure to take care of them.

"Yeah." I gave my final statement and he opened the door. He guided me through the hospital, I knew it was a hospital. I may be blind but I can hear.

"Well, Henry...your in luck today. Your lucky....the woman's eyes are in perfect condition." The nurse said to me polietly. I simply nodded my head, Luke continued to guide me to a secluded room. It was really quiet, he made me sit on what I assumed was a bed.

"Okay....ready?" The nurse asked. I took a deep breath, "Yes."

Luke's POV:

I paced the room nervously, I should tell him...but she told me not to tell him. I HAVE TO TELL HIM. Crap....why is this so hard? Why do I have to keep so many secrets from Henry? I hate it. I placed my hand on my face.... I was stressing so much. Should I tell him? If I tell him after, he will hate me for life.

I had to think....do I tell him the truth...then he'll get this chance till later.... or do I just stay quiet....and fulfill the promise.

I thought of the pros and cons of the two decisions and I decided on it. I wasn't going to tell him, I had to stay quiet for her. It was a promise...a promise....I have to keep.

After the surgery, Henry was sitting down on the bed. The nurses and doctors came to get me, he slowly unravelled the sheet of cloth around his eyes. As he came to the last part of unravelling it, his eyes slowly opened. I felt myself tear up, they were hazel...

Henry's POV:

The nurses woke me up and I felt a sheet of cloth around my eyes. They told me to wait and they got my brother.

"Take it off whenever you want to." The nurse whispered softly as she patted my hand.

I reached for the cloth and took out the pin, I slowly unravellled it....slowly everything was becoming brighter. When I reached the last sheet of the cloth, the cloth fell down to the floor and I blinked. I saw Luke getting teary, I looked down to my hands and glanced around to everyone. I got up and thanked everyone.

"THANK YOU SO MUCH!" I yelled with happiness, my eye sight was so good I didn't have to use glasses anymore.

"You should be thankful to your donor." The nurse replied with happiness. I smiled, "I'd like to see her." I replied back. The nurse looked to the floor and back at me, "She's...um...dead." She replied back.

"Oh."  I replied, I glanced at Henry...he was looking away and he seemed to having tears down his eyes. He grabbed me and thanked the nurse, pulling me away. I pushed him off, "What?" I asked.

"She told me not to tell you but..the eye donor...was your mother." Luke tried his best to look me in the eye when he said that but he broke the eye contact.

"WHAT?! But she was dead years ago.." I replied.

"Yeah...she had really good eye sight, she decided to give her eyes to you if you ever needed them...she told me to keep a secret. She also told me, that you musn't give up on your dreams of becoming an artist." Luke replied.

I fell on my knees and cried so much, it took me a few hours to calm down...but I still felt a bit of guilt for taking her eyes. Luke told me to rest at home while he goes to college to explain his disappearance. I lay in bed and sighed, slowly getting up....I walked towards my bathroom and glanced at the mirror. The hazel eyes were of the same, we had the same eyes...it was like looking at my own eyes but I knew it was hers. My fingertips touched the mirror and I glanced away.

I walked away and picked up my note pad and pencil. I took a deep breath and started to sketch away. Before I knew it, papers of beautiful artworks were laying right in front of me..what suprised me the most was the fact that all the pictures were pictures of a family and one particular artwork caught my eye...it was my mother. Her blue eyes smiled at the little me and little luke, she was happy seeing us. I felt tears down my eyes. I missed her so much...
