Author's note:
Two chapters in a day? I owe it to you guys! (:
Gwen's POV:
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.
"Miss Parin can't remember that much anymore, but don't worry. She only remembers a fraction of the brain that didn't get damaged."
Who's that?
My eyes slowly opened and I glanced around. This is a hospital, why am I in a hospital?
"Oh, Gwen. Your awake!" A british accent replied. A handsome man went into my view and hugged me. He looked injured.
"Who ...are you?" I asked, looking at the man with the Hazel eyes. He glanced to the floor, sighing in the process.
"I'm Henry." He replied, trying to look happy. He held out his hand for me to shake, I hesistated before shaking his hand.
"So, how do you know me and why am I in a hospital?" I asked, as I tried to get out of bed. Immediately the nurse pushed me back to the bed, "No. Sweetie, you must stay here. Your parents will be coming." She replied. I lay my head back, trying to think of what happened but it was such a blur.
"Henry, who are you?" I replied. He hesistated on his answer and thought.
"A friend, you can rely on." He whispered. He went up to me, reaching for my hand but I pushed his hand away.
"No, who am I to you?" I replied again. He looked shocked, he went and sat on a chair, looking down.
"It's all my fault, Gwen. You wouldn't be lying in that hospital bed. It's all my fault." He replied, he choked on some tears and looked so defenceless.
"What happened?" I wanted to get answers.
"You were in a car accident, my dear." A man with tattoos stepped into the room, his green eyes pierced mine with something I couldn't quite pick on.
"What?" I replied again. Henry got up, "What are you doing here?" Henry replied with a such distained tone.
"Can't I be here, to see my girlfriend?" He replied with a smile. I felt my chest clench for some unknown reason.
"Gwen, his lying. Don't listen to him." Henry replied as quickly. My heart loosened and I felt that I could actually trust Henry.
"Oh, darling. You look parched." The man walked over to me, about to touch me but I slapped it away.
"I don't know who you are and if I am your girlfriend, prove it." I replied.
"A kiss might work." He replied with an evil smirk. He tried leaning in, but Henry pulled him away with force.
"Don't touch her." Henry replied. I felt my heart skip a beat, I didn't know this guy that well but I felt happy that he was so protective over me. It's like he knew what I wanted.
"Gwen....It's Derek." He replied, pouting at me. His green eyes went soft and I actually felt his defence went down. Could I trust him?
"I don't know....you need to prove it to me." I replied. I didn't feel safe around Derek, he brought this aura around him but maybe I like those kind of guys?
"A date, tomorrow. 7pm." He replied with a smile. His straight pearly teeth grinned happily, like a kid.
It wouldn't hurt, would it? I glanced to Henry, he gave me a look of 'don't trust him' but I decided to ignore it.
"Fine. Tomorrow it is." I replied. Derek smiled, "I need to go, so for now...goodbye my fair maiden." He replied. I giggled. Henry wasn't taking this so lightly, "you shouldn't of said yes." He replied angrily, he left the room following Derek.
Was it a bad choice? I suddenly felt regret take over and I felt this date wasn't going to go the way I'd expect but I guess, I could risk trying.
