Most days, Leo spent his afternoons locked up in his room aside Tommy, gaming for hours. But today, he needed to walk. To think.

Three weeks had passed since he had been injected with the serum, and two since Venom made himself known. The voice had only acted out when Leo was either in danger, or he saw someone neither of them liked.

Leo had made it a habit of going down the old Blue Knoll road. He hadn't had much luck reaching out to Venom for casual conversation, but he felt this time would be different. In the middle of the road, he stopped, pulled out his phone, and pulled up a picture of Toby after they had beaten him up. Immediately, he could hear a hissing noise in his head.
We should have killed him.
"Now listen here." He snapped, continuing his walk down the street. "The way I see it, if we are going to have this..symbiotic relationship, we will only hurt bad people, and help the good ones. Do we have a deal?" Venom immediately snarled, and Leo felt his body launched into the side of a house. In a panic, Leo tried to yank himself free. Suddenly, he felt the goo tendril of Venom come from his side. It's face, almost eel like with it's sneer, became inches from his own.
Look into my eyes, Leonard. The way I see it, we can do whatever we want.
Leo tried to grab at his throat as an invisible hand choked him, but he was forced in a crucifix shape.
Do we have a deal?

The walk continued in silence. Leo's hood covered his eyes, and his hands were stuck into his pockets as they approached a nearby gas station. The light, electronic ding, dong of the 'bell' of the door alerting those inside of a new customer. He paced the aisles, searching for a protein source. He had gotten paler in his lack of food, and Venom was taking its toll on the boy. After what seemed like forever, he heard a faint voice, and the bell again. Ding, dong.
"Sir? Are you okay?" Leo turned to the voice: a cashier. But the young lady at the station wasn't looking at him, but at another hooded man, bent and crooked. Then, the man pulled out a small pistol, and aimed it at her.
"Give me everything." The woman shrieked, which caused Venom to shriek, and Leo covered his ears in pain. At that moment, something new happened. He felt as if he had been sucked inside his own body, and into a dark, empty room. He looked up at what appeared to be a movie monitor, covering his entire vision. The camera, or eyes really, shifted to his arms and hands as the black goo covered them. His hands enlarged and his fingers became long, white knives with goo wrapping around them. His vision became a very distinct, heavy orange, and an enlarged tongue fell from his mouth, like vomit, curling and writhing in front of him. The woman shrieked again, and the robber turned to him, and in horror, fired several rounds at Leo. Leo felt it, a burning sensation in his chest and ribs, but he couldn't do anything as the other him snatched the man by his throat and lifted him up.
"We will eat both your arms, and then both your legs, and then we will eat your face right off your head. You will be this armless, legless, faceless thing going down the street. Like..a turd..in the wind."
"Who..are you?" The man gasped.
"We...are Venom." The other him, no, Venom, declared.
Venom! What are you doing?! Put him down! We don't kill!
The monster said nothing, and in a quick, almost inhumanly fast flick of his wrist, the neck made a sickening crunch. The woman jumped, and darted into the back room as Venom tore the man in half, and consumed him, followed by more crunching, and ran out the door.
Ding, dong.

Venom had made it deep into the city, on a roof top before Leo regained control, and wrestled the monster back inside of him.
"What the fuck was that?" Leo gasped as he fell to his knees. "You took control of my body!"
He would have killed that woman. Isn't that what you wanted? For us to hurt bad people?
"Hurt! Not kill!"
He would have done it again, and again, and again. We stopped it permanently.
"We can't do this, man. We can't just kill people."
Why not?
"It's not ethical, we could be arrested!" The monster laughed. A hideous, unnatural, grisly laugh.
This world is just like our own. There are no real ethics, or morals. All it takes is a need to be great enough, and the instincts take over. Besides, do you think you could have done that on your own? You need us for your goals, and we need you for ours. Together, we can evolve, and the earth with us into a new age.

Leo slowly rose to his feet, and nodded.
"You..you're right. He had it coming. We were bonded for a reason. We can clean up this city." He walked to the edge of the building, and crouched down. "It's like the doctor said. I'm not just healed. I'm improved. We...we're improved. We are Venom."
Yes..we, are Venom.
