The moment Leo passed the porch, and onto the front lawn, he felt his senses peak. The darkness became as easy to see through as if it was day.
We should kill them all. That will send Schema a message.
"Not part of the plan." Leo whispered as he got on his knees, and put his hands behind his head. A soldier came up behind him, and locked his hands in cuffs.
"If you think these will hold us, you're sadly mistaken." Venom bellowed, ooze seeping through the hood of Leo's jacket.
"Oh we're aware what you can do, Venom."
Jenkins.
"If you know what we can do." Leo growled, looking up at the younger looking scientist. "You would have left us alone."
"Oh I'm afraid I can't do that. You see, Venom is company property, as are, well, you. You'll be coming with us back to the LF."
"As long as you uphold your end of the bargain and leave them alone."
"Indeed I shall." He nodded to a soldier, and they lowered their weapons. Leo felt a prick in his neck, and all went black. Instead of Venom taking control, they were both locked in his mind, side by side.
"Well, this is new."
"We are locked in your mind. We didn't react fast enough to take control." The two stood, and looked around. They could see each other, but had no idea where the light was coming from. It was everywhere but nowhere.
"Well, this didn't go according to plan."
"Could have fooled us."  Leo folded his arms, and stared down the monster. He had no idea Venom was a good foot taller than him, but he didn't care.
"Well, do you have a better plan?"
"Not really."
"Well. Might as well make the best of this then..look you know all about me, I wanna know where you're from. You gotta at least remember that."
"We..don't remember where we are from. All we know is that we must bind to others to evolve. To grow. Separation means death for us.."
"But why?"
"The injection sequence grafted our DNA. Separation would destroy both of us."
"So essentially, there's no cure."
"None that we know of."

The next hour was spent in silence, until suddenly, Leo was ripped back into reality.

He...they awoke, strapped to a table with machines whirring all around them. They glanced down and saw they were shirtless, with black Venom blotches randomly dotting his torso. Above them, from a viewport, stood Schema and Jenkins. They tried to reach out and listen, but they were too weak.
Need..sustenance..
"I know..I..I know." They felt as if they'd been drained of all life. They were dying. They looked around, and saw one of their targets: Reyes. Through her mouth mask they could see a wicked grin as she fiddled with the machines. They looked to their arm, and saw several tubes, draining the blood from their body. A liquid striped with black flew up the pipes, and into a vat.
"Good to see you two again." The nurse smirked.
"The displeasure is all ours."
"Ours? Oh that's right, the parasite owns you too." She snickered and pulled a switch, and immediately they felt immense pain rip through them, as if the flesh was being torn from their body with toothpicks.
"When..we get out.." Venom growled. "You will.. be.. the first...to die."
"Oh I'm so scared. Someone get me out." She mocked, and turned up the pain. Their head snapped back and their spine arched as the pain intensified to an unbearable state.

"Rayes! That's enough!" The pain immediately went away, and they were left with a dull throb. As they tried to catch their breath, the voice of Schema echoed in their ears.
"Hello, Mr. Newton." They looked over, and sure enough, Schema stood their, his hands folded behind him.
"Why...are you doing this..?" They groaned, both voices blending. "You could have just left us."
"Oh I'm afraid I can't do that. The story of the Monster of Middleburg has gone nationwide. Once they realize we are the ones responsible... It was either contain you, or lose billions in lawsuits, and face shutdown. You must understand dear boy." He patter their arm. "This is purely business, not personal."
"It became personal..when you threatened our family."
"Yours? Or just Leo's?" Schema leaned closer and whispered. "They'd never accept you, Venom. Not Thomas, not Amelia, and certainly not Samantha." They pulled at the restraints and snapped their jaws at him. The man simply laughed. "Struck a nerve, eh? Well, let me be forthcoming with what we're going to do. We're going to seperate Venom from you, Mr. Newton, and you will live out your remaining days as a terminally ill lad who, unfortunately, had a reaction to the treatment and was forced to abort." Schema smiled faintly, and once more patted their arm, and left. "It's a shame. I had high hopes for you two."

The seperation process was unbearable. Venom's and Leo's screams froze the hearts of anyone with one, and turned the stomachs of those who didn't. At last, however, the two were seperated. Immediately, Leo felt sick, and fainted.

He awoke, once more cuffed. His eyes felt like they were glued shut, and all the blood seemed to have been drained from him. This time, he was restrained to a bed in a cleared out room. He wore a simple blue medical garb; a top and a pair of pants. A heart monitor beeped steadily beside him as wires crisscrossed all over him. It's not like the security measures were needed, it took every bit of strength to turn his head. He felt a warm hand touch his forehead, and he jerked back.
"S...Sam?" Sure enough, Samantha sat next to him, her own hands cuffed together. "You..you're caught."
"Yup. They stopped me at a toll road, and brought me here."
"I'm so..I'm so sorry Sammy." He wheezed. "I tried to get them off your trail."
"Shh..I know. I figured that. I know everything now..you and Venom. You're the Monster of Middleburg."
"We were..not anymore. Venom is probably destroyed by now." He shifted himself back onto his pillow and cleared his throat. His body felt hollow and dry. "Venom got ripped out. My disease was never cured, just repressed. I'm dying from it..it was slow before, but it's back and worse."
Sam stroked his forehead again, and he relaxed.
"There's nothing that can be done?" Leo shook his head.
"Binding Venom to me was my cure. It kept the disease away. Without him..I'm a dead man."
"Do you know where they took him?"
"No..I was unconscious by the time they locked him up. For all I know they destroyed Venom." There was a slight smile on her face, and she pulled out a small pen. Inside, was a swirling black liquid.
Ready?
"How did you..?"
"It looked important, so I snagged it from that gray haired guy as I passed."
"Schema..heh he's in for a surprise."
"You didn't answer his question."
"You..hear him?"
We speak to whoever we wish to.
"Alright..ready."
"Where do I inject it?"
"My hand. Put the pen in my sleeve when you're done."
