Jace's POV:

I felt the grass rub against my skin on the ground, with Gabby's grip on my wrist as she dragged me home. I tried desperately to get out of her grip, to touch the pick once again, but she was too strong for me.

Gabby's POV:

I can't believe Jace almost died from that thing! I also can't believe she's trying to go back to her death! She must be traumatized, or hypnotized, or both!

"Stop struggling!" I told her. No response. She doesn't have to be rude... I kept a tight death claw on her wrist as we, or I, slowly walked home.

Steve's POV:

"We're... home!" I heard Gabby say behind the front door as it creaked open. Notch teleported away after hearing Gabby. I expected to hear two sets of footsteps but I just heard a subtle screeching against the wood floor and loud, single steps. I walked out into the Living room to see Jace on the floor, trying to claw her way outside like a stray cat while Gabby heaved her in.

"What happened...?" I asked her as she huffed out an answer,

"Stupid... Herobrine legend... got her crazy..." I closed the door behind her as she immediately let go of Jace and fell to the ground from exhaustion. Jace immediately scrambled to her feet, rushing to the door, I stood in front so she couldn't escape.

"Can you elaborate on that?" I didn't want to say anything that would give the secret away.

"Y-yeah..." she caught her breath and slowly stood up again as I kept holding Jace back from the door. "You know Ranger right? Along with his friends?"

"How could I not? He is the owner of this server."

"Well, his ex-girlfriend claims to be Herobrine's daughter and knows way too many legends. She told Jace that if she touched an electrified pick that she'd be just like Herobrine, immortal." Oh, just some folklore.

"She also wouldn't know how it feels as a player to be electrified by diamond."

"Right, exactly. But Jace was gullible enough to believe her and she did just that. Only something strange happened to her, her eyes flickered before I could get that pick away from her... it hurt me just to touch her, and she won't even talk to me. Jace just keeps trying to go back to that pick..."

"Sounds like an annoying situation," I commented, trying to hide my concern as Jace reached the door handle, opening the door behind me and causing me to fall backwards. She bolted over me after that.

"Jace! Come back here!" Gabby yelled as she ran after her. I slowly stood up, rubbing the back of my head in pain.

Jace's POV:

I want more! I need more! I would do anything for more of the electricity! I knew something important would happen but I couldn't tell anyone.

"Jace! Come back here!" I heard Gabby behind me as she chased after me. I croaked, trying to speak. We didn't run for long, she ended up catching up to me and grabbing my wrist once again.

"Stop." I rasped out

"Why?! I'm not going to let you kill yourself!" I tried to respond but I could only croak again. My struggling was no use, so I eventually gave up and let Gabby pull me back home, I walked next to her but she never let go of me.
