"OMG!" I jump up and down in my room looking out the window into my best friend's. "Are you serious?!"

"Yes I saw it with my own eyes." Layla yells into her phone. Layla has been my best friend since we were 3 when she moved in next door. "Cora's boob popped out in the middle of the halftime performance!"

"Layla you should've been recorded it for me!"

"How was I supposed to know that was gonna happen but if I did trust me it would be all over the internet by now. I hate that little hoe."

"She's not that bad." There is a pause on the phone before we both laughed so hard both of our faces turn red. "But you got any stories for the newspaper besides that one. Less and Less people are reading the paper and you heard what the principal said if we don't get at least 40 more people to read it by the end of next week its over for us."

"Yea whatever I got it handled you just need to write the stories I can gather them."

"Yea whatever," I say looking out the window that faces the street now. "I gotta go I see you tomorrow morning."

"Alright Rach bye."

"Bye." I hangup the phone and close my curtains and flop down on my bed looking up at the ceiling before kicking my bunny slippers off.

I heard a knock at the door and turned my head. "Come in!"

The door slowly pushed open and my dad's head popped through the crack. "Hey honey remember your going over your mom's this weekend." My parents split when I was young resulting in a half brother and a lonely dad who doesn't know what space means.

"Okay thanks anything else you wanna talk about?"

My dad lets out a deep breath before walking into my room and sitting on the edge of the bed. "I just thought you should know that I met someone."

I bolt upright on my bed and look my dad in the eyes. "Are you serious?! That's great dad!"

"You mean you're not mad at me?"

"Of course not why would I be mad?"

"Well when you found out your mom moved on you wouldn't talk to her for months and still don't exactly communicate with her."

"That's different dad she cheated on you and that's unforgivable. After everything you did for this family she cheats on you and finds herself having a child your not the father of."

"I know your mad at her but don't take it out on your little brother."

"He's not my brother."

"Honey."

"No dad I'm not excepting it he's not my brother and that's final." I get up and pull him off my bed and start pushing him towards my door. "Goodnight dad I love you but we aren't having this conversation right now thanks." I close the door before he can say anthing else. I climb into my bed and stare at the ceiling until I fall asleep.

My alarm sounds and I take it off my nightstand and throw it across the room hoping that it will shut up from the impact. When it doesn't I get up and rub my eyes with the palms of my hands, I rush over to turn my alarm off carful not to wake my dad because he works nightshift tonight. I pull back my curtain to find Layla dancing around in her room probably to her favorite song at the moment wild things. It's hard to keep up with all of them considering she changes it every week. I shake my head and close my curtains back so I can get dressed. I throw on a T-Shirt that says 'Girls Bite Back' and a pair of jeans. I fix my hair at my dresser and slid my feet into my combat boots. I run down stairs and pop some bread in the toaster and drink some juice while I wait for my toast to finish. I scroll through the school newspaper twitter page. I read some of the messages sent to it.

'Ava flashes whole school' attached was a video of the whole performance. I let out a giggle as I look at the other messages.

'Horse meat in hamburgers' I skip that one because the same person sends it every week even though it was proven untrue.

'Roaches in bathroom girls scatter' I look it over in place it in the maybes.

'Ace and Jared suspended' I almost choke on my juice as I read this message. Their captain and co-captian of the football team and biggest dickheads  but most importantly captians. Coach always gives a fighting effort to get them out of trouble which is often with their track record. I grab my half done toast and head over to Layla's house.

"Layla have you heard?"

"About?"

"Ace and Jared."

"No what did they do this time?" She asks as she throws her backpack in the back seat.

"I have no idea but it got them suspended."

"What?! This is big we have to get a meeting with both of them to get their side of the story hopefully this will save the newspaper. Hopefully we are the first to get to them before they spill their guts out to the whole school about it."

"Yea and then our newspaper would be the only source to get the information from, great thinking Layla!"

"I know now hop in if we are going to get this meeting we better hurry I can't be late again this month or else."

"Wait we are going to their house now?"

"Well Ace's, he's bound to spill sooner than Jared who is a total emotionless human."

"Uh okay." We drive to Ace's house and it's the fastest I've ever seen Layla drive and frankly I don't think it's safe.
