We pull into Ace's driveway and Layla hops out it fells like before the car even comes to a complete stop, I follow closely behind. Layla rings on the door bell with her writting pad in hand and tap recorder on her waist.

Ace pulls the door open and his face looks stone cold. "What?!" I jump back a bit at his rough approach but it seems to not even bother Layla.

She turns on her tap recorder and looks him in the eyes and stands tall. "Hello Ace I'm Layla from the school newspaper I would like to do a meeting with you on what got you suspended."

"And why would I tell you what happened?"

"Well I was hoping you would because it would not only save the school newspaper but also my future. I plan on becoming a publisher and I...."

Ace raises his hand to stop her chattering. "Okay I didn't ask for your life story." He looks over Layla's shoulder and looks me in the eye. "Who's that?" He nods his head in my direction.

"That right there is my bestfriend and my writer."

"Excuse me I have a name!"

"Right she's Racheal I call her Rach but you may call her Racheal. Back to what I was talking about now Metting or no?" Layla was ruthless and stopped at nothing to get what she wanted and in the process sometime a pain.

"I don't exactly trust that you will put the truth in the paper and not twist my words."

"I give you my word I only put the truth in the paper."

"What about her?"

I honestly was zoned out and not paying attention and looking into space until Layla jabbed my in my side. "Oh right honesty truth yea yea." Ace let out a chuckly as he looked me over.

"Your pretty funny there Rach."

"Hey only I call her that you may call her by her full name thank you and please."

Ace held his hands up in surrender,"Right my bad your highness."

Layla rolls her eyes at Ace and looks him in the eye "Can we just please come in and start the meeting now?"

Ace moved out of the way and held his arm out gesturing for us to come in. We walk into wat looks like the living room and Layla acts as if she's been here before and places the recorder on the table. "So tell me Ace what happened that was so bad that Coach couldn't even save you this time?"

"Well it's a long story I don't think I can tell Jared's part all that well considering I wasn't there for all of it."

"So you're saying this all started with Jared?"

"Well no not really it's hard to explain but I would be surprised if you got it out of him."

"Why? What is so bad?"

"It's not that it's exactly bad it's just he oesn't think you would believe him."

"Okay well tell me your part."

"I won't be able to tell you everything today because I have to be somewhere in 20 minutes maybe it would be best if you came back later."

"I can't do later I'm going to my grandmother's house she's dying." Layla says emotionless usually she would be crying over this but when she gets in her zone it's hard to bring her out of it. I know how badly we need this story so I step in.

"Layla I'll do the interview for you if you want."

"Really?"

"Yeah just write down the questions you need answered and I got you."

"Okay fine but this still doesn't solve how I'mgoing to get Jared to answer a single question before friday if I'm going to be gone most of the week."

"I'll handle it just focus on your grandma I have evrything under control Layla."

"Okay but if you bomb this I swear to you I will rip your head off."

"I wouldn't put it pass you."

"Okay guys kinda gotta be somewhere so if you don't mind you know getting out that would be great."

"Oh right see you later." I say as I walk out the door.

"Yeah what she said but later." Layla says as she heads to her car throwing her hand in the air as a goodbye.

"Bye." Layla does a half smile before starting the car and pulling out of the driveway. "Well he wasn't that bad."

"Yea but I still have to talk to that man beast Jared."

Layla lets out a loud laugh that makes us drift slightly."Whoa kinda wanna make it to school if you don't mind."

"Whatever it was just a little drift ge over yourself." We pull into the school parking lot Layla parks the car. "OMG."

"What?" I ask as I follow her gaze.

"What is Jared doing here?"

"Better question why is he yelling at Ava?"

"Get your phone out and zoom in."

I pull out my phone and start recording them. "What do you think they are talking about?"

"Rach are you completely blind they dated for months and then out of nowhere they break up something is going on and I wanna know what it is."

"Layla."

"Uh?"

"Who's the other dude?"

Layla squints her eyes trying o focus in on the boy. "I have no idea but I know he doesn't go here."

"Then who is he?"

"How am I supposed to know."

"Well you do say you know everything."

"Rach I'm talking about in our school but apparently something fly over my head but I caught it just in time." Layla gops out of the car and walks over to the angery voices that belong to Ava Queen of B-yatches and Jared King of Dickheads and finally a mystry boy. I hop out the car following Layla from a safe distance making sure I don't get dragged into it if things go south.

"Hello Layla from the school newspaper mind answering some questions please?"

"Great look what you did Jared you attracted the Paparazzi!" Ava looks at Jared sending him death glares.

"Excuse me but I'm not the Paparazzi, I'm the school newspaper."

"Whatever same thing!"

"I don't care I'm out of here." Jared storms off and brushes pass me his cool leather jacket rubbing against my skin. He turned to look back at me but quickly turns away.

"Ugh get out of my way!" She pushes Layla out of the way as she pulls the mystery boy behind her towards the school."

Layla walks back over to me. "Boy Ranch do you have a hand full." I roll my eyes and let out a sigh because I knew she was right.
