It's Complicated

Kim and I got our dresses and head home after the whole Jared thing Kim didn't speak much but I could tell she was pissed. We are on our way home and I can tell Kim wants to say something but doesn't know how to say it. "Would you just say it already."

"He's such an asshole you shouldn't waste your time on him." I let out a sigh and look out the window not in the mood to talk about him.

Once we pull into the driveway I grab my bag out of the backseat and rush in. "Hey honey how was the shopping?" My dad's voice comes from the kitchen. Not in the mood to talk I ignore him and go into my room and lock the door.

I lay in my bed with my phone buzzing next to me. Jared hasn't stopped trying to contact me ever since Kim poured soda all over him. I grab my phone and turn it off. I couldn't stand it anymore, even though I hate to admit it I'm falling for Jared and it's tearing me apart from the inside out.

I hear a knock come from my door but I ignore it. "Come on Rach it's Kim open up." I rolled away from the door so that I'm facing my window. I didn't feel like talking to anyone and that included Kim.

"Please go away."

"Rach.."

"I said go away." My voice cracked on the last word. I heard her footsteps walking away and it broke my heart even more because I was alone now and it wasn't her fault it was mine. I was pushing everyone away maybe I pushed Jared away and I deserved this. The tears kept pouring out of me like it had no end and I cried myself to sleep.

I woke up with my face still wet and tears still falling out. I wiped my face and looked at the clock it read 8:30. I let out a sigh and rolled over to the edge of the bed and slid my bunny slippers on and walked down to the kitchen. I'm not much of a cooker so I pulled the ice cream out of the freezer.

"Ice cream for breakfast I see." I look up to see Kim standing in the doorway still with her morning hair and breath but she some how seemed to look like a goddess. I for one looked like the Grinch.

"What are you doing up so early?"

"I'm leaving tonight after the dinner so I thought I would get a head start on packing." I've been so caught up in my own mess I forgot that Kim is leaving for another month.

"Oh I forgot you were leaving today."

"It's okay I noticed you have a lot going on in your life already. I'm just sad we didn't get to hangout more this time around I really miss our sister and sister nights when we would just sit around and talk about hot famous guys. Oh wasn't that the life."

"I'm really sorry Kim I've been so selfish with my time."

"No don't be there is always next month and just think I'll be here for your prom, homecoming, Your birthday yea that's a big one."

"Okay I get it don't feel bad." Me and Kim start giggling. "How about we do our sister and sister night today."

"Uh if you've already forgotten I have to be back at school tonight."

"I know that's why we are going to do it today. You know while the sun is still up."

"Oh I got you well let me go finish packing and I'll order pizza and get all our favorite movies." Kim takes off up the stairs. "I hope you left room for some pizza and didn't stuff yourself with ice cream. I laugh and put the ice cream away. I run up to my room and turn on my phone and scroll through Instagram. I see a video of Kim pouring soda on Jared all over my feed with me tagged under  all of them. I turn my phone back off an walk into Kim's room.

"You ready?" Kim asks as she slides her suitcase into the closet.

"Yeah I settle onto the bed as she plays the movies.
