It has been a month today, since the Halloween party and I have not heard much from my secret friend, except a few letters and poems. He even went so far as to put a flower and letter in my school locker last week. How he did that with all the cameras at school I really don't know. Anika was there at the lockers and couldn't contain her mirth when she saw the flower and letter. I wonder about him and the things he said. He said I know him and that I am just too afraid to put a name to him. He also said I'd know who he is when I am ready. Ready for what? Will my Dad really punish him even if we are just friends? I know my Dad is sometimes watching me intently but he never says anything. Diego also does not say a word about my friend, but he is also watching me. I sometimes get the feeling that someone is following me and I swear my Dad has put surveillance on me. Diego and I chat and act normal with each other, but when we touch by accident there is still sparks flying. I decided that if he ignores the sparks then so can I, although his eyes are a dead give away that he feels the sparks between us too, as it change color more and more when we touch. I'm coming from the kickboxing and I told Anika I'll catch a ride with my Mom later on, I still have to go to the library, but I lied. I wasn't in the mood for her chattering about my brother as usual. I walk home through the woods. It's already almost twilight and my parents would kill me if they know, but I also know they have a meeting until 9 o'clock tonight. Armando is with his friends for pizza and a movie, so no one will know. I hear the sound before an arrow flies past me into a nearby tree and I duck automatically. I look around and see a piece of paper stuck in the tree with the arrow. I get up and take it out of the tree.
