Gwen's POV
The sky has been brushed with oranges and pinks, the most beautiful sky you could think of, but all that stands out are his brown eyes. They're so wonderful. You feel lost when you look into them. Like you've reached the unreachable and you weren't ready for it. His dirty blonde hair, flowing in the breeze. His smile could melt every heart. And slowly he leans toward me. Leaning, thump. Leaning, thump thump. Leaning, thump thump thump thump thump! So close and....
My eyes open wide. I am staring at the window that is leaking sunlight onto my face. Why, why, why! I roll out of bed and look in the mirror. An averrage girl, blonde hair with bangs, green eyes. I throw on a black tank top, jean skirt, tan jacket, and boots.
"Gwen, are you almost ready?" called my aunt Margie.
"Yeah, just a minute!" I run to the kitchen, pick up a waffle, and rush out the door. "Love you, Aunt Margie! Love you, Uncle Arnold!" I give them no time to respond. As I go outside, I pass a shiny car filled with people too high in status quo to ever talk to me. Among them is Luke Anderson. No one knows how in love I am with him. I always try to pretend that my higher intellect draws me away from him, but I could never kid myself.
A snear comes from the car and I catch Sarah Micheals looking at me like Im a joke. I only walk away toward the bus stop. As I get on I find the nearest deserted seat.
I watch everything fly by out the window and then we reach our high school. I hate it here. It's filled with whats seems like millions of people who see me as bottom of status quo. Except Giselle. My best and only friend. We've known each other since we were 8. She is the only person in the world I have other than my aunt and uncle.
"Ack! I'm sooooo excited! My audition's tomorrow! Can you believe it?!" Giselle exclaimed as soon as I got off the bus. "Oh and by the way, I still don't see your name on that sign up sheet," she hinted.
"And you won't, I'm too busy," I say.
"That is the biggest lie I've ever heard! You want to be on that stage, then get on that stage!" Giselle knew that being on the satge was my dream, but I'm too shy to ever be an actress.
"Like I said, too busy. I have a reptile analogy paper due soon and Doctor Arwik has me writing him an evaluation on bio-chemical compounds," I state. She rolled her eyes, but let the conversation move on.
We see Luke pass by and I nearly lose all thoughts. I am brought back, by Elle.
"Luke Anderson! Oh my gosh, he is amazing! You know, I really think he's going to fall in love with me one day," Giselle said.
"What?"
"I know it's crazy, but I feel like never before when I see him and those eyes..."
"Like you've reached the unreachable and you weren"t ready for it?" I asked.
"Exactly," she sighed.
"Well, I find him repulsing. He chases girls all day and is completely full of himself." You see that, you are so patheticly in love you can't even tell Giselle!
"You are obviously completely blind," she said.
The bell rang and so I went to Math and she went to Spanish. Getting through the day was hard. All I really want to do is go home, but after school I have to go to Doctor Arwik's. My job is to be his science assistant, which I find to be a great honor. He's really on the verge of something.
After school I take two bus's and a taxi to get to work. I am greeted into the large glass building and I get to work imediately, first putting my hair into a sloppy bun. As I sort the chemical files, my messager goes off.
