He stared at the huge shelf of plushies.

Just standing there. Staring.

What am I doing here?

He pushed his trolley, but the orange lion stuffy, and the cute green dinosaur one, and the- oh...

Ryan. His favourite.

His hand unconsciously reached over to it and he clutched it and cuddled it into his chest. He pulled away slowly, admiring the softness of the doll, which was just consisted of that famous character's head with a soft smile.

His soft, admiring face soon turned into a frown.

What was he doing? Clutching at the doll in the middle of the aisle like that, feeling so wrong.

His lips pursed to the side. What am I doing?

He looked around the empty aisle. Then looked back at the plush toy.

It's not wrong for a grown adult man to like a doll...right? Right.

He looked at it longer, occasionally squeezing it and hesitantly, but secretly enjoying the softness. The urge to buy it was too much, he-

"Excuse me sir? Do you need any help?"

A young female worker stood next to him with a soft smile as she looked up at him. He snapped out of his world and looked at her slightly panicked, hoping that she did not think weirdly of him as he clutched the doll and question him. Soon, she noticed the doll he was holding and smiled wider. He panicked again.

Great she is gonna tease me now!! And think weirdly of me!

"Ahh Ryan! You're buying for your kid?" she asked.

He did not expect that. For his kid? He exhaled softly as he calmed himself down. What do I say?

For his kid, huh? Well...

His mind thought of all the pros and cons.

Pros: He gets the doll.

Cons: His boyfriend might think it's weird. And now he has a non-existent kid.

"Ah yes..." he decided. He has a 'kid' now and this stuffy is going to be theirs. Yes!

He handed the plush toy at her and she proceeded to check its tag. She then bent down to open the cupboard to retrieve a similar doll, only its wrapped up in plastic neatly.
