"Joonie!"
He jolted in surprise from his hiding place, and curled up more as he heard rapid footsteps around the house.
"Joonie come out! Now!"
Goddamn. This closet is hurting his back and butt, but he still stayed in the same position, not risking making any noise while moving.
He released his breath as he heard the footsteps fade away from the hallway, then panicked when he heard the door open and quickly pressed a hand to his mouth to stifle a squeak. He froze, his eyes only moving as he watched shadows moving from the gap of the cupboard door.
It was gone for a moment, and before he could breathe a relief sigh, the doors yanked open and he shrieked, curling himself even more into the furniture as he clung onto Buddy tighter.
"Kim Namjoon."
Oh dear. He was so in trouble.
Jimin had never called him that. Now that he did, with that tone of voice, he felt himself shake and gulped. He had a feeling Jimin was able to hear it.
"You better come out of there," he said, and proceeded to move to the side to give him space.
Joon shuffled out and stood up slowly, Buddy close to his chest and eyes downward, not daring to look up.
"Follow me." Jimin walked out the door and Joon followed him obediently into the kitchen.
"What is this?" Jimin gestured to the kitchen counter. Joon peeked from his bangs to take a glimpse, then quickly looked back down because he knew what he had done, and how terrible the mess was.
"This was, what- the fourth time it happened," Jimin said as he walked up to the counter. "And there are even knives. Knives Joon! You can neveruse knives, let alone in little space!"
And honest to god, Joon was about to cry. But he kept quiet, evening his breathing all while staring at the floor, guilty.
