A month later,
"Um... Yug..." Aaruhi asked softly as she entered the glass-walled cabin with the label: Yug Bakshi Vice President.
"Please take me out of here!" Yug requested her instead as soon as he saw her enter through the door.
"Actually, I wanted to ask that of you. I'm done with today's assignment and the program analysis will be ready by tomorrow morning. So can leave half an hour early today?"
His face fell hearing her words. In an upset tone, he turned around in his chair and gazed out at the city through the glass walls. "For what? You have another dinner planned for tonight with that Mayur guy?"
"No, his private cooking lessons from me are scheduled on Saturdays and Wednesdays," she replied stressing the words.
"Why does that guy even need any cooking lessons when he's so goddam rich? Can't he just keep a housemaid?" He turned around to look at her.
"Mayur wasn't born rich! Unlike some people, he likes to live a simple life all by himself!" She mocked him.
"Then why does he keep hanging around you so much?" He murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Yug..." She sighed and walked closer. "Mayur is a good friend of mine, just like you. And I can't choose any one of you." She placed a consoling hand on his shoulder. "I don't get why you even dislike him?"
"That guy covers half of his face in bandages all the time. That's a suspicious reason enough not to trust him," he tried to reason.
"He's injured Yug. His skin is ripped off and doctors have strictly prohibited him from exposing him that wound."
"But..." he stumbled for reasons. "He also hasn't watched even a single episode of GOT!"
"What! You are just jealous that I'm spending more time with him these days," she said, hoping it would loosen up some tense. "Do you by any chance are..." she added, teasingly.
"What! No! No way! I just... I just don't want you to get involved with wrong people... Yes! That's all!" He muttered jumping into his feet.
"I know he isn't a wrong person. Trust me." She said, give him a side hug. "You've just met him once. Give him some time to prove himself to you. Besides, anyone who watches Marvel movies can't be a bad person. You said that, remember?"
'Wish I hadn't!' he sighed. "Alright!"
Aaruhi hugged him even tighter, pressing herself close to his muscular body. She looked up at him with a broad smile. Her face just a few inches away, eyes glittering.
"Err... Did... didn't you come here to ask for an early leave for the day?" He averted his eyes, suppressing a blush.
"Arey haa! (That's right!)" She jumped back a step in excitement, recreating the space between the two. "Tanuja is arriving today at six. I wanted to go and pick her up from the airport."
"Oh..." He murmured, trying to appear comfortable again.
"I've already talked and taken permission from Bakshi Sir."
"Then why even ask me. Isn't dad's word the final one in this company?" he asked, looking away.
"Haa pur (Yes but) I'm your assistant at the end of the day," she winked, casually.
Yug managed to form a grin, "You're free to go. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Yay!" She gave him a quick hug and rushed for the door. She opened it and stood right there. She took a moment to turn around and look at him. A caring smile on her face.
