The droplets hanging from the balcony railings began to drip down as the cold breezes took upon the responsibility to take them to the ground. Like crystals glistening in the late morning sunlight, they watched the birds making their way through the sky, chirping and soaring high. The clouds still were persistent and were trying their best to hold their position, but even so, beams of sunlight pierced their way through them falling down into the balcony and eventually making their way into Gwen's room.

The windchime began to ring its melodious morning alarm, hoping to wake up its princess, but today, this act was to done by a new melody. A sound of flute filled through her room falling on her ears and whispering "Wake up, Dear." Gwen softly blinked her eyes twice before opening them completely. Music from a violin which accompanied the flute made her sit up in her bed. Rubbing her eyes, she took a look around trying to understand where she was.

She noticed her dress was the same from the last light, just messed up a little. She had a warm and cozy white blanket over her. The droplets on the sliding glass doors of the balcony were all gone and sunlight now ruled the region. There still were clouds lingering up in the sky, but the sun seemed to be trying really hard to shine by the looks of the strong sunlight.

She pulled her legs out of the blanket and stepped on the floor. She went to pick up her mobile and notice that her pillow was wet. It reminded her the fact that she had cried herself to sleep last night. She checked the phone: 8.21. Letting out a sigh, she wondered if Mayur had left after he seeming tucked her into the blanket. She felt embarrassed for letting him see her tears, something she had been trying so hard to hide.

Suddenly, once again the sound of the flute greeted her accompanied but the violin and even a piano for this time. Wondering where it came from, she stood up. Taking the blanket around herself like a robe, she followed the voice into the drawing room. There, she saw the skinny guy sitting in front of her laptop, adjusting his overgrown forehead hair as he seemed like he was working on something. She realised that the tune she was hearing all this time was being played on his phone kept on the table.

She looked wondering why he was still there after watching her cry like that last night. 'Must have developed some sort of dumb sympathy on someone as pathetic like me.' She thought.

"Do you really expect me to escort you to take a seat or will princess walk on her own?" He asked with his eyes still on the computer screen. A mirthless smile formed on Gwen's face and she walked and sat down on a chair. Mayank pushed a cup of tea towards her.

"I haven't brushed yet." She pointed out.

"Um... well, then... just go and get freshen up and then have it." He suggested, realising that he hadn't actually considered that fact. He was about pull the cup back but just then Gwen grabbed it and took a sip.

"Just let it be. I'll do it later." She murmured as she looked away evading his gaze. She cuddled herself into the blanket and began to slowly taking sips of the tea. Mayank looked at her for a minute. She looked like a small lazing and shy kid. Shy and cute. A smile formed on his face and he lowered the screen of the laptop.

"So, you feel okay now?" He asked softly. She simply nodded and continued with her tea. He allowed her to enjoy the drink for a moment, before asking the nest question. "So..., what the reason of the anger in saw in you last night.?"

She stopped and looked at him. His words were just as harsh as they were last night, but this time, they weren't cold, but rather gentle. Also, this time, he allowed her to look into his eyes. Even though it was through a mask, she was able to see his eyes this time, and all she could see was genuine care and desire to help. She took a moment to make the decision but finally began in a timid tone, "So you aren't gonna spare me, are ya?"
