JACQUELINE'S FIRST CLASS OF THE DAY WAS HISTORY. Principle Flutie personally escorted her there to make sure she actually went to class instead of pulling the disappearing act and slipping out the back door.
Technically, history was her fourth class, but Flutie had decided that they needed to have a more in depth conversation, and, unfortunately, it had lasted hours.
She got to class about fifteen minutes late, the entire class surprised to actually see her there. The teacher looked at her with raised eyebrows, "I almost forgot you were in this class."
Jacqueline rolled her eyes, fighting back the urge to tell her to fuck off. She walked to the back of the classroom, and slammed her bag on her desk, startling the girl in front of her.
The blonde turned and glanced at Jacqueline, who rolled her eyes when she was that it was the annoying girl from the principal's office.
She saw Cordelia Chase leaning towards the new girl, both of them having been in conversation before Jacqueline entered the room, and scoffed "Already corrupting the new girl?"
Cordelia sneered, "Better me than you."
Jacqueline leaned back into her seat, "Charles Manson would be better than you." Cordelia glared at her and turned back around, facing the front.
After what felt like an eternity, the bell rang for lunch.
As she was walking down the hall, she saw Xander walking out of the bathroom. She rushed over to him, shoulder checking everyone that she passed.
"My knight in shining armor." Xander didn't have time to process her words, as Jacqueline shoved her new biology textbook for this term into his arms.
She had, unfortunately, ran into her biology teacher, who had, on Fluties order, been waiting outside her history class to give her the new book.
She let out a sigh of relief, her arms no longer feeling the strain of carrying a five hundred page book.
Xander looked down at the book that was now in his arms, "I just love when you shove twenty-pound books into my arms."
"You need the workout, you're all flab and no abs." she patted his stomach, slightly frowning when it wasn't as squishy as she thought it was.
Her hand went down to the hem of his shirt, bringing it up so she could see if he really was all flab and no abs. She let out a low whistle when she saw his slightly defined abs. "I take it back."
Xander's cheeks were dusted with a light pink color, "I feel objectified." she lightly poked his stomach a few times, before releasing her hold on his shirt.
Jacqueline looked at him and licked her lips, not noticing the way Xander was watching her, "Call it payback for staring at my ass during gym."
"I-" he paused not able to come up with a retort, "Touché."
He moved the book so it was under one of his arms and threw the other one over her shoulder, leading her to the cafeteria so they could get lunch. "You see the new girl yet?"
She rolled her eyes, "Annoying preppy blonde? Yeah, in the office."
"Annoying because she tried to talk to you or-"
Jacqueline looked up at him with an annoyed expression, "What about her?"
Xander then started going into extreme detail about him bumping into her before first period. Jacqueline groaned, fed up with him going on and on about the new girl. "Xander!"
He stopped talking, "Yeah?" he questioned.
"Why don't you go find Willow and Jesse, hmm? I'll get us food." Jacqueline didn't give Xander any time to protest as she shoved her hand down his front pocket and snatched his wallet. Xander watched as she shoved the doors of the cafeteria open and stomped in.
His eyebrows furrowed, "Was it something I said?"
Jacqueline walked out of the cafeteria with disgust on her face. They were serving fish sticks, fish sticks.
Not only was the idea of eating fish gross, the sheer smell of it almost had Jacqueline throwing up on every surface around her.
Fish sticks were disgusting and she was not ever going to subject herself to that kind of torture.
She was playing with Xander's wallet as she walked down the hallway. She pulled out his student ID and looked at the picture that would, much to Jacqueline's delight, be put into the school yearbook.
She and Xander had a sleepover at her house the night before they had to go in for their school pictures, and after raiding her father's liquor cabinet, Jacqueline came to the amazing idea to give Xander an emo makeover.
Along with eyeliner and extensive hair straightening, Jacqueline had also bleached a few strips of Xander's hair and dyed it neon pink. He was either too drunk to comprehend what was going on or he just didn't care, because not once throughout the process did he complain.
But from the way he freaked out when they woke up the next morning, it was safe to say he was really drunk.
They didn't have enough time to fix it, so Xander had to show up to the school with bright neon pink hair. Also, Jacqueline had run out of makeup wipes and the eyeliner she had used on him was waterproof, so there was that too.
As she walked past the girls locker room, she remembered the sweater she left in her locker weeks prior. She walked in behind two other girls she recognized from having the lockers across from hers.
Jacqueline rolled her eyes, the girls were taking way to long to get to their lockers. "Walk faster." she snapped, pushing herself in between the two girls.
Just as she opened her locker, the two girls from before walked in, talking about the new girl. "I heard she was starting fights."
"Neg-ly."
"Well I heard from Blue and she said tha-" the girl opened her locker, letting out a piercing scream when a body fell onto her.
It took her a few seconds to step to the side to let the body fall to the off of her, only for it to fall onto Jacqueline's chest.
Jacqueline gagged, quickly shoving the body off her. She put and a hand over her mouth as she gagged again, she had come across dead bodies during her nightly activities, but none of them had ever been close enough to breathe on.
She looked around, seeing everyone in the relative area had gone, leaving her alone a dead body at her feet. She couldn't see any obvious cause of death, so it was either something like poison or an X-Files type of death.
Considering the large spike in vampires hanging around Sunnydale, Jacqueline was leaning towards the supernatural.
She looked around again, wanting to make sure there wasn't anyone that could see her, and crouched down to the body.
She gently picked his head up and turned his neck to the side. Just as she suspected, there were two messy puncture marks- identical to a vampire bite. "Rats."
i know the timeline is little off, but i had written most of the chapter before i re-watched the episode soo
