Y/n's POV
Finally! My family and I just moved to a town called "Derry". So far it seems to be interesting. My dad hopped out of the moving truckand opened the back. "Y/N!" Come help!" I got out of the truck and started moving everything into the new house.
~Time Skip~
We got all of our things settled. I started to unpack my things into my new room. After I finished, I ran downstairs. I made a sandwich and just thought about being the new kid at school. What if no one wants to be friends with a loser like me? I walked upstairs and went into the bathroom. I stared at myself in the mirror. God! I how I ugly I look! I just sat there staring at my ugly, horrifying features. I looked at my H/L, H/C hair and my stupid E/C eyes. Suddenly I snapped out of my thoughts when my mom started banging on the door. " Y/N! Open this goddamn door right now!" I hesitantly went to go open the door while getting worried about what she might do to me now. I slowly opened the door and instantly felt pain. Her hand connected with my face as my cheek turned red. I look down with tears in my eyes. My mom started screaming at me, "I can't believe I even had you! You are the worst child I've ever met! Why can't you be perfect?! You screwed up my life!" I stood there while tears spilled out of my eyes.
Why me?
I didn't know what to do so I grabbed my favorite hoodie from my bed and bolted out the front door. I jumped onto my bike riding as fast as I could. Soon, I got tired so I stopped ay this beautiful park. I set my bike down and walked towards a field. I layed against a huge oak tree and just sat there sobbing my eyes out. I hate my life. Why do I have to have an abusice mother? What did I ever do to her? I jumped at the sound of voices. I looked up and saw two boys walking their bikes through the field. They were laughing and I smiled at the thought of someone being happy.
At least they have a friend to talk to.
I continued to sit there until one of the boys noticed me. I quickly looked down, hoping they didn't see me staring. Next thing I knew he was standing in front of me. I quickly wiped away my tears and looked away. "Hi." the boy said to me. I looked up at him and replied, "Hello." as I half-heartedly smiled at him. I stood up and held out my hand, "I'm Y/N, Y/N L/N." The boy gladly accepted my hand and shook it. "Eddie, Eddie Kaspbrak." he introduced himself. All of a sudden I heard the other boy yell, "Hey Eddie are you coming or not?! You know your mom is missing me!" Eddie turned around, "Shut up Richie!" I looked over and saw a boy with thick, black glasses and a Hawaiian shirt. He had more freckles on his face than the stars in the universe. He also had curly, black hair that was messy but cute. I snapped out of my daze and looked away. "Hey, who's your friend?" Richie asked looking at me and winking. I looked at him, "The name is Y/N." I stated before Eddie could. "Oh what a pretty name for a pretty girl." I blushed. "Well my name is Richie Tozier." He smiled at me. "Nice to meet you." I replied. We stood there smiling at each other which was kind of awkward. "Okay kiddos calm down you just met." Eddie said as he looked between Richie and I. I chuckled at his comment. But I couldn't stop thinking about Richie. Do I like him already? No! Y/N that's crazy you barely know the kid! But he is cute though ;)
