Chapter 7

 "Yes, just make sure the drinks and foods are constantly refilled and replenished. I don't want any empty trays." I told one of the catering staff, making sure my food section are all topped up and the people are enjoying.

Tonight is M-Land annual party. Keaton is somewhere around the party, trying to get himself drunk but I made sure the bar doesn't give Keaton any alcohol. I am wearing a short tight dress that made it impossible for Daxton to get his hands off me.

I scanned through the party and found Daxton, looking handsome in his navy blue suit, black dress shirt and jeans, smirking at me. I winked at him while Lyla stood in my face, blocking my view of Daxton.

"Am I the only one who find the party going too well?" Lyla asked. She is here tonight to assist me considering it is quite a big-scale party. I raised my eyebrow, heading to the stage so that Daxton can make his speech later on.

I waved for the tech and told Lyla, "The night is still young, homie,"

"Look, after Daxton's speech, we are basically done for the night. Except for supervising but hell, all adults here, I don't think they will do drugs or beer bong here right? Everyone seems to try their best to impress Daxton."

It's true. The moment Daxton stepped into the party; he was whisked away from me. Not like I'm complaining but Daxton looked like he could use a drink. Everywhere he goes, his employees will swarm around him and talked about work. Keaton was smart enough to brush off his fans by acting all lovely dovey with me, torturing Daxton again.

"We need the mic up and make sure the slides are up right now. Maybe in five minutes," I checked my watch, "We can get people to settle down and let Daxton have his speech,"

"Got it," The tech walked away back to his post and I turned back to Lyla, "We still have to escort those drunks to the valet,"

"That is the thing," Lyla smiled at me, "I asked the bar and they said they only gave out champagne and wine, nobody asked for stronger because they thought they need to be presentable for their boss."

"That is a good thing, no?" I nudged her playfully and watched the slides appearing on the screen. Keaton decided to show up now with his usual smile, looking up at us from the bottom of the stage, "Need help, ladies?"

"Where the hell have you been? I could use some help to get rid of some guys five minutes ago," I whispered fiercely to him. Keaton barked out a laugh, "Oh, poor Daxie couldn't get his employees off his back eh?"

"Shut up," I gritted my teeth playfully at him. Keaton chuckled and I took the mic, plastered my smile, "Good evening everyone, I hope everyone is enjoying the party. Please, feel free to fill your stomach at the food section and use the photo booth. The last balcony is opened up for strictly the view, please don't do any hanky panky there." The audience laughed and I continued, "Before I let this party go on, let's welcome Daxton Miguire up on stage to give his speech. Dax, please," I said and Daxton walked up to the stage, kissed me, "Missed you,"

I blushed when the audience cheered. I quickly retreat back and Lyla grabbed my arms, her face filled with envy, "God, he just claimed you on the stage! That is hot!"

I rolled my eyes at Lyla, a smile appearing on my face as I looked at Daxton, standing on stage, looking confident and sexy.

He chuckled, "Well, first and foremost, thank you WEM planning for our annual party. If it wasn't this party, I wouldn't have met the beautiful woman just now." Daxton grinned at me while the audience went crazy. Daxton turned back to the audience and raised his wine at Keaton, "And also, my best buddy, Keaton, appreciated."

Daxton went on talking about his newest project about M-Land, merging with YouTube, making it a bigger social network platform. Mel joined us and she said to me, "Abel, someone is looking for you outside. He said he is Russell and he needs your help. He said not to let anyone know he is here. He needs to talk to you and make it fast,"
