Chapter 2 Through the Prespective of Steven

It was first period. Geography class. Nicole was late. "Where is she?" Asked Annie. "I'll try texting her again." Said Jade.

Nicole walked through the door. "Am I late??" She asked. " Yes Miss Jones. We were just planning a school trip to Africa over spring break." The teacher said. He handed her a permission slip. "Africa!? That's so far away! Why?" Said Nicole. We're researching different cultures. What better way than to take a trip?" He said. Nicole sat down. It was October right now, so we had months to prepare.

Nicole fell asleep in class, which earned her a detention after school. The bell rang and the 4 of us walked out of the class. "I had a really scary dream." Nicole said. "What was it?" I asked. "First I need to tell you something else for it to make sense. This morning I saw the homeless women. She gave me a gift to thank me for the money."

"How did she have enough money to buy it?" Asked Annie. "It was homemade. Anyway, I opened it on the bus. It was some liquid in a test tube. There was a tag that said 'my homemade lemonade recipe'." "How was she able to make it?" Asked Jade. "Maybe at a friend's house. Well, I drank it." "Why?? It could have been poison." I said. "Well it wasn't!" Said Nicole. "I have to go to class. Talk to you later." Said Jade.

After a few seconds, Nicole started talking again. "So in the dream, the woman was talking to me against a dark background. She told me that she was a witch and the lemonade was a potion to make me a witch too!" "It was just a silly dream Nicole." I said.

"Whatever. All I know is that if I turn into a witch the first person I'm putting a curse on is Ella." Said Nicole. Ella was the schools most popular girl. She was perfect. She had long blond hair and beautiful green eyes. She got everything she ever wanted in life and she didn't even need to try. She hated Nicole. They used to get into physical fights and try to humiliate each other. I laughed and rolled my eyes. Nicole was the 2nd most popular girl in school, so the two were always competing for the spotlight.
