Chapter 6

Eli pov

Patrick took my hand, which he never did because he said its childish, and walked me back to the cabin.

Before we walked in I dried my tears and took a minute to collect myself.

When I walked in Nic looked up.

I smiled but he jumped up and walked over "what's wrong?" he asked

"Nothing" I said, trying to sound innocent

He gave me an 'I-know-your-lying' look.

"Patrick? can you leave one more time for me?" I asked fighting back tears just thinking about the situation

"Yah" he said giving me a sympathetic look and walking out.

I told Nico everything that had happened, leaving Patrick out of it.

"This might be hard to pull off now" he said rubbing his face in his hands

I sat down next to him on the bed and started to cry "why can't he just be happy for me?" I whispered

Nic wrapped his arm around me "it's my fault" he said sadly

"No it's not" I said

"How is it not? Just the situation we're in is my fault!" he said

"It's my fault to" I said

We were silent for a moment.

Then Nic laughed slightly "sex on the River Styx bank"

I laughed "I remember that"

I pushed him back "shut up I'm trying to be sad here!" I said

He smirked slightly.

Then the door burst open and Emma, Jake, Matthew, and Logan walked in. Can you never get privacy here?

"Do you guys know how to knock?" Nic asked reading my mind

"Nope, not really" Emma said

"Well you probably should!" I added

"What's wrong?" Jake asked staring at me

"I'm fine" I said

Jake frowned "okay. I guess"

"So, have you guys been around camp yet?" Nic asked, changing the subject

"Yah, but I want McDonald's now" Logan said

"Yah lets take the car to McDonald's!" Jake said

After we left, Nic couldn't shadow travel us all and it was pretty useless because most of the time we stayed together. For his 20th birthday Hades said that Nic could trade any power he wanted for another power in Hades' range. He traded shadow travel for the power to kill anyone any way he wants. He can literally shoot people or suffocate them with his mind.

*wedding dress shopping*

(A/N I have no idea what wedding dresses look like)

Hazel and I walked into the gigantic wedding dress shop.

It was one of those "say yes to the dress" places, except I wasn't going to be on tv.

Also with me was: Sara, Skylar, my step mom, Emma, and Piper.

Sara is my sister (I'm adopted I guess) and she's 8 years older than me.

We got someone to help us try them on and pick out dresses.

When we stepped in a girl immediately ran up to us "hi, I'm Miranda I'll be helping you today, what exactly are you looking for?" she said

"Ummmmm....... I don't really know...... I was just hoping to find a beautiful dress." I said

"Well, follow me everyone" she said smiling.

She had green eyes, brown hair, and had makeup caked on her face.

She sat everyone down and took me to the rows and rows of dresses.

I tried on a spagghetti-strap lace gown decorated with intricate designs of flowers.

Hazel loved it and so did Piper, but Skylar, Sara, and my step-mom didn't love it.

I tried on a strapless mermaid tale dress made of silk that cut had a slit in it at the shin that curved off to the right but went down about 7 inches then had a sharp curve.

None of us liked it.

I tried on a baisey color made of silk, Skylar loved it.

After about 17 dresses Sara pulled me off to the side "Eli, do you want to just give up for the day? this seems like it might take a while"

I sighed "yah I guess we can try again tomorrow"
