Chapter 13

Eli pov

I'll spare you some of the details of what happened.

Percy was freaking out.

Leo was laughing at how Percy was freaking out.

Calypso kept slapping Leo because he was laughing at Percy.

Piper, Jason, Percy, and I helped Annabeth to the infirmary.

Hazel and Frank looked slightly freaked out by everything.

Everyone else just awkwardly avoided the slight chaos.

I helped Annabeth onto the cot and ran out before anything..... "happened".

After that I waited outside of the infirmary for a while. Nic sat with me, but I could tell he didn't want to be there at all.

After a while I gave up and left to get some sleep, Nic following closely behind.

Nic lay on his back and I curled up next to him "do you think Annabeth's okay?" I asked.

I was extremely worried.

"Yeah" he croaked

"Sorry, did I wake you?" I asked

"It's fine, you can wake me any time you want, no matter what" he said.

I smiled and kissed his cheek.

*skip ahead 2 days later*

Nic and I walked into the infirmary to visit Annabeth.

Percy was standing outside of her room waiting for me. He was grinning from ear to ear when he me, but when he saw Nic his smile faltered.

"So is it a boy or a girl?" I asked excitedly

"Boy" he said "do you want to see him?"

Percy glanced back at Nic.

He held his hands up "don't worry, I won't go in" Nic said turning around and walking back to his cabin.

I glared at Percy but walked in.

Annabeth was laying back holding the little boy and smiling.

She looked up at me "would you like to hold him?" she asked

I nodded and she handed him to me.

He looked up at me with sea green eyes and gave me a toothless smile.

"He's amazing" I said looking at him

"Thank you" Annabeth said laughing slightly.

I looked up at Percy and Annabeth "what's his name?" I asked

"We....... we wanted to let you decide" Annabeth said

I grinned and looked at him, rocking him back and forth.

He seemed to be examining me with his little tiny eyes, just like Annabeth does.

I thought for a moment "how about...... Daniel?" I asked

"How'd you come up with that name?" Percy asked.

"It was....... I'll explain it later" I said, avoiding the question.
