"I will reveal the secrets behind these doors."
- Zahi HawassOne week. That's all we had until playoffs.
Breanna has been fired up since that last game, and now we just found out that our first playoff game is against Seal Bay.
"I swear if those dumb boys are there again I'm gonna flip," she states annoyedly.
Kali snorts. "Breanna, when have you actually done something you say you're gonna do?"
Breanna doesn't say another word, crossing her arms over her chest. I open my locker, and there again is another note laying on top of my books. Quickly stuffing it into my bag, I grab what I need for the day, then shut the locker door. Tori is eyeing it curiously.
"What?" I ask.
She shrugs. "I dunno. It just seems suspicious that you haven't gotten another note or anything. I mean, we are facing Seal Bay Friday. It doesn't make any sense to stay away from us now- unless they have something else planned."
"You mean unless Bailee has something else planned," cuts in Kali.
As if she can feel our distaste for her, Bailee bounces up to us. Today her hair is in the most perfect bun imaginable; not one hair sticks out from its edges.
"Are we all set for the game Friday?" she asks a little too cheerfully.
"Why?" Brea asks suspiciously, "do you have something else planned?"
Bailee was taken aback by her comment, but feigned shock by placing her hand on her chest. "Why would you ever accuse me of something like that? You know I have nothing but positive reinforcement for this team." She smiles bitterly at her and takes off, heels clacking down the hallway.

Instead of heading down to lunch, I told Brea that I wasn't feeling well and was going to the nurse. When in reality, I just hid in the library, staring at the drawing of a snake wrapped around a softball, worried about opening it up and finding what was inside.
Currently, I was hiding in between two bookshelves on the floor.
I turned the folded paper over in my hands. Last time, this person apologized. Why did they? Who are they working for? Are they even working for someone? Who is their connection inside the school?
My anxiousness got the best of me and I unfolded the paper. A smaller folded paper fell onto the floor beside me. Inside, the usual capital letters were replaced by normal handwriting.
