Batman had a long, horrible, and exhausting night of chasing after criminals all over Gotham. It was the middle of winter, where night falls early and night is a field day for criminals.

Especially in Winter and definitely in Gotham. Gotham is usually criminal center in Winter. That's one of the many reasons why Bruce despises Winter.

For Clark in Metropolis, is quite the opposite. Only the worst of criminals try and go against Clark. Most people hear fake stories where Batman brutally kills a man or Batman tortures people to get the truth, which isn't true.

Bruce has these certain set of rules and killing is forbidden. Unlike most people, Clark respects that. That's why Bruce loves Clark and Clark loves Bruce, but neither of them admits it, so Alfred and the rest of the Bat-family has to watch the two lovebirds crushing on each other.

Bruce was barely ever sick because he tried his best to stay healthy. However, even when he tries his best he doesn't always succeed.

Bruce's armor that he usually wears, was having a few modifications added on to it. Which meant on one of the coldest nights in Gotham, that Winter, Bruce had to wear one of his old suits. Which wasn't cold resistant to the one he usually wears.

So to sum everything up, Bruce had to deal with not only many, many criminals, by himself, in the cold, with old equipment that he forgot how to use. As you probably already had guessed, Bruce had got very sick.

He felt like shit, because around every 2 hours he woke up in his sleep. That's not very good for your health, especially when you just fought around 20 criminals on a very, very cold winter night.

When Bruce got home from that quite exhausting night, Alfred attempted to help him get to bed. Bad idea on Alfred's part, because Alfred got just as sick.

Alfred was unable to take care of Bruce. All of the former Robin's are in different states, but Alfred still informed them about his and Bruce's condition. So, Dick had called up, one of Bruce's very good friends and Bruce's crush. Superman.

Otherwise known, by many as Clark Kent. But that's not important. Clark can't catch human sicknesses, which in this case is really good.

So while Bruce's sons were helping people in other states, Bruce was stuck in bed being watched over by his crush.

Bruce wished it was just watching, but no--------- Clark also had to feed Bruce and help him around the house. Bruce would've got a boner on multiple occasions if he didn't feel as if he was on the verge of dying.

Clark, of course, was enjoying teasing Bruce. He loved Bruce more than anything else in that romantic way. He even broke up with Lois not that long ago, so he could date Bruce. Bruce thought that Lois broke it off, but the detective doesn't really do his best job when he is tired and hungry.

Clark has to feed Bruce about every 3 hours because before Bruce got sick, he had a very tight schedule and Bruce had been getting around only 4 hours of sleep every night, which is probably why the cold caught his immune system off guard.

Whenever Clark would help Bruce get to the bathroom, he would always watch Bruce's baby blue eyes. Otherwise known in Clark's words as, "It reminds me of the sky on a beautiful spring day, when all of the lilies and roses and many different types of flowers are blooming. When he cries it reminds me of the rain during springtime. It looks gloomy and sad, but it still has it's beauty as if it was still a beautiful day out. When it rains, it reminds you that there is so much more backstory to those beautiful baby-blue eyes"

"C-Clark" Bruce weakly says, snapping Clark out of his thought.

Clark quickly analyzes the situation. He sees Bruce trying to support his body-weight, by leaning against the door-frame.

Bruce's arms are quaking trying to support himself up with his weak state. Bruce is about to fall, but Clark quickly catches him.

Bruce is close to fainting, his eyes half-lidded as he tries to keep them open. Clark carries Bruce bridal-style to his bed and gentles places the dark knight down onto his comfy bed. Clark realized it was late and he had to get to sleep to wake up early and make Alfred and Bruce breakfast.

Alfred was somehow getting better way faster than Bruce was. But, Clark still didn't want him doing that much, just in case the cold decides to come back. Maybe it's because Bruce refuses to get an average amount of sleep.

Clark sat down on the bed and listening to Bruce's light snores that he hears with his super hearing.

Clark shifts his gaze from Bruce's mouth that is still slightly open for the snoring to his clean and clear forehead. Clark leans closer to Bruce about to kiss his lips, but goes against it and kisses his forehead instead.

After Clark slightly pulls away from Bruce's forehead, he whispers in Bruce's ear.

"Goodnight, my moonlight. I promise, soon the sun will shine again."

And with those words, Clark got up and left the room the sick superhero remained.

He was repeating Clark's words in his head over and over again.

"You are my sunshine, my Superman." Bruce unconsciously whispers to himself.
