' Hi, quick little thing here. Sorry bout the sucky chapter titles and all. I'm not good with those so try to bare with me.
At 8:30, I woke up to my iPhone playing Rude by Magic. Yawning, I got out of bed and headed into the bathroom to brush my teeth and do my business. After flushing and washing my hands, I walked back into my room and studied it. All over the floor were posters of various artists and actors and actresses that I liked that I hadn't put on my wall, a bag of Cheetos layed in the corner next to my old volleyball uniform. My mattress had a green comforter and one old white lace pillow. It didn't even have a bed frame. Hardwood covered the floors of the crusty apartment. There was no closet so I already had my clothes in duffel bags. I stripped out of my Batman pajama bottoms and a grey jersey and put on blue shorts, blue vans, and a dark purple crop top. I tied my hair into a messy bun and finished packing my stuff and headed out the door.
Going to the front desk in the lobby of my apartment building, I handed my key and notice that I was leaving. The lady looked at me coldly and yanked the paper out of my hand, stamped it, and waved me away. I hurried out and into the parking lot and put everything into my blue 2004 Taurus and drove to the address Aubrey had given me.
After getting lost 3 times, I finally pulled up into the driveway of 371 Peach St. Climbing out I got tackled by a set of long limbs. "Oh my god, I still can't believe that your really here." Aubrey said releasing me from a air right hug. "Hi to you too." I said smiling. She was that kind of person where you immediately smiled when she walked into the room. She could cheer up the dead if she wanted to.
"I should probably help." She said and walked over to the trunk and opened it. She pulled out 3 duffel bags and I took out the other 3 and locked the car and followed her to the front of the house. "Your room is right next to mine, this is totally awesome!" She said as we climbed up a set of stairs. Another thing, she could also be extremely happy, sad, mad , confusing, annoying, and every other emotion.
She led me into a room 2 doors down on the left from the stairs and I looked at it with an amazed look on my face. The walls were a maroon color that wasn't too dark and also completely bare, a ceiling fan with lights and a queen bed in the middle of the wall was was a bed that was bare except for a mattress. A bay window faced a forest preserve since the house was located right next to it. They were covered by white lace curtains. The floor was covered by hardwood and a super soft black rug and there was a walk-in-closet and two dressers next to the bed. A desk with a small red lamp and black swivel chair were next to the bed.
"Sorry about not having more decorations, I know how you like doing it yourself so..."
"It's perfect, thank you." I said hugging me. She left the room and I closed the door. I turned my iPhone on and started playing some Imagine Dragons.
I started unpacking and smiled and sang along with the songs. I was going to like this place, I could just tell.
