Light streamed through the curtains and Rionna turned her face into the pillow. A few minutes later, she pulled out her phone from under the pillow and squinted to look at the time.

8:30 am

Sighing as she got out of bed, she grabbed her clothes and made for the shower. She let the water fall on her body for a few minutes, reveling in the perfect temperature of the warmth. Then she reached for her chamomile and lavender shampoo, massaging it into her scalp and rinsing it out. Her reddish-brown hair got many compliments when she let it out, letting the natural curls drop mid-back. It was also said that her golden skin tone contrasted beautifully with it. But Nathan wanted her to dye it a dark brown these days and suggested she needed to lose some weight, which made Rionna self-conscious of her features but also a little... irked.

Maybe it wasn't best to think about these things.

After giving herself a good cleanse and wearing a simple white top and tight navy blue jeans, she searched excitedly through her wardrobe for a sweater to wear today out of her various, much loved sweaters.

'hmm... I think I'm gonna wear you today' she said as she happily reached out for a bright, fuzzy yellow and blue striped sweater.

Slipping on her black ankle-boots and then munching on a blueberry muffin with large bites, she decided she was ready to face the world.

She checked her phone for messages and found one from Nathan.

Hey. I'm gonna be hanging out with the boys tonight. Mitchell and Drew wanted to catch up at the bar tonight cause it's been a while. Don't worry I won't get too drunk ;)

Rionna knew he was lying about the last part. He always gets really drunk because he doesn't know when to stop once he starts. She sighed in resignation and typed back.

Okay. Hope you guys have fun!

Rionna drove to the florist shop in her black BMW that had she to save up for up to 3 years to buy, and she loved the baby.

The shop was called R &C flower paradise.

Entering the shop she saw Carrie smile brightly. Carrie had beautiful caramel skin and dark brown eyes that saw through everything. Rionna wished she looked as stunning as her.

"Did you get the e-mail? I'm so excited for this! We've got some awesome flowers growing this season like the geranium, poppy and coleus."

As Rionna tied the apron, she laughed a little at Carrie's excitement. "Yeah, I read it last night! I think we should participate too and I think we've got enough time to grow some more as well."

Carrie had a mischievous smile on her face now and that always meant a little trouble. "So... How did that date with Nathan go last night? Anything interesting?"

As Rionna wanted to cringe a bit at the thought of how last night ended, she thought it must have showed on her face when Carrie said "It didn't go well, did it..."

"No. Not really... He came a few hours late and by then I'd already drank 4 cups of hot chocolate. So I was full but I ate a quiche anyways when we had to order, and then we didn't talk much after that either. He was mostly on his phone texting someone. Do you think I've become a bit boring these days?"

Rionna didn't like complaining about little things much but she felt like she needed to get this out.

"No, I don't think so," she frowned. "Don't mean to be a downer or anything, but I always thought Nathan was the boring one. And you know what? I personally believe that the man wouldn't know what fun was if it came came right in front of him and punched him in the face."
