The TV in Omar's room was playing Criminal Minds quietly in the background as he was going from side to side organizing his room. They had spent the entire morning helping Omar's mom prepare for some get together they were having that night. Some aunts birthday party? He will have to double check with Omar later, as to not look a fool when greeting everyone. Tom's parents were out on a business trip for the next two weeks up in Montana, so he was staying over at the Perez's. His house tended to be very lonely in the summer with his siblings visiting their grandparents back in London, especially since they costumed to stay for a big chunk of the summer.

The boys lived a street away from each other for thirteen years now, just a bike ride away or a sprint down the garage alleyway. It was as if their back doors were somehow connected and an extension of each other with how often they would be together.

"I'm booored, does your mom need anymore help? I can't re-watch another season of Criminal Minds again!" Tom gripes as he falls dramatically back on to Omar's bed and covers his face with a pillow.

"We cleaned the entire house, back yard, and organized the patio. She had to peel you away from trying to help with preparing the food because you kept eating it bro!" Omar shakes his head as he hangs up some clothes into his closet.

"Do you wanna go to the park trails with your sister?" Tom suggests as he flips over on his stomach to face Omar.

"She's been getting ready for the last two hours Tom, she won't step foot outside of this house unless it's to greet the guests." Omar barks as he packs his drawers down. He turns to Tom with his hands on his hips.

"You need to chill Tommy Boy, you've been unbearable for days! What's up with you, huh?" Omar exclaims while moving some papers around on his desk.

"Nothing... Well i don't know what is going on. I've felt off and anxious since Thursday and I can't figure it out." Tom says as he sits up and brings the pillow that was by his face down to his chest.

Omar stops his movements and faces Tom, "Thursday huh..." Omar says cheekily. "Isn't that when we helped my dad with that fox of a woman in Van Alstyne?" He throws a rolled up paper to Tom's shoulder with a chuckle.

A wave of confusion briefly blinks in before complete embarrassment and shock settle on Tom's face. Was it really because of that encounter that Tom feels all pent up? Surely it's only a small percentage of what is putting him in this funk. He goes over everything he has done since then..

Nothing. Nothing has happened to give an alternate reasoning to his demeanor lately.

"Ok... Well lets assume that might be it, why would that have me like this?" Tom gestures to himself as if he was some sort of wreck of a person presenting himself before Omar. He smooths out his face before sternly looking at Tom, only to chuckle at him. "You do realize the huge crush you have on her don't you?"
