Once all the students had placed their phones in the box, the teacher told us that we were going to play dodgeball. She then instructed us to do two laps around the gym. We all set off, complaining. I never like being in the last few, so I was up in front with a couple other people. Pidge and Hunk were at the back somewhere, they don't like running very much.

When we had all done two laps, we were instructed to do some stretches. But for some reason our teacher always designates one of us to do be the "instructor", the poor soul that is chosen has to go up in front of everyone and demonstrate the different stretches. It was the usual stuff, you know, touch your toes, reach to the sky, squats, lunges and many more.

After about 5 minutes of stretching the person "instructing" us, got to pick out the team leaders. I think that's the teacher way to make us think that being the one in charge isn't as bad as it seems, but it really doesn't make a difference.

The "instructor" was my cousin Alexa, she was one of the people in the class who had the best shots when it came to dodgeball. But of course, no one could beat me, I was the best shot in my class no matter what sport it was. Our moms are twins so they are really close which meant we spend a lot of time at each others houses. She lived up north with her parents, but her father left when she was 6 and they moved in next door to us soon after that. Because she changed school in the middle of the year and was doing quite badly so she was kept back a year, which means that now she is in the same class as me. She told me that she was doing badly on purpose so we could but in the same class. She had always known that I didn't like school back then and when she was in my class it all started to get better. So I kinda believe her.

She is really fun to be around, we get into so much trouble together. Once we were at a party birthday at a local restaurant, I can't remember who it was for - we were like 8 at the time, but one thing is sure, we were banned from that place. We had been playing with the balloons the staff had blown up for us and accidentally ended up clogging the toilet , breaking 5 plates, 2 glass and a chair.... Don't ask. I really can't remember what on earth we did to do all that, all that I remember is that I had a blast doing whatever it was. Another time we walking around the park, when she saw a tree house, it was really well hidden I have no idea how she spotted it. And now it's like our secret safe place and only we know about it. It's nice to have something like that, something you only want to share with the people you trust and would do anything for. Alexa was like a big sister to me, the type you always want to one up, is super stubborn and childish, not to mention competitive when it comes to sports with her. It's you win or your so sore from trying you can't move. But she can be really mature when it's needed, she's loving and willing to help you get through really tough and confusing times. She's the best.

The teams were chosen, there was 7 people one each team. Pidge, Hunk and I were part of one one team and Alexa, Shay and Nyma were part of the other along with some other students. We started to to play, we were doing pretty well if I do say so myself. After a couple of matches we had won 2 and lost one, if we lose this round then it will be a draw and there's no way I'm letting that happen.

"Hey, Lance what's that on your arm?" Pidge asked, the match was nearly over and we were gonna win. There was only three people on the other team left, one of them being Alexa. Confused on what she meant I looked down at my arm. Then I saw what she was referring to, the bleu ink along my skin.

"Oh, that hehe...." I nervously chuckle and scratched the back of my neck in embarrassment.

"I was...um...testing?" I say avoiding her gaze. Nice, good one Lance. That does not sound suspicious it all, there is no way she is going to miss that, Urgh idiot!

"Testing what exactly?" she asks, raising her eyebrow.

"I was testing to.... To see... If it really worked" I say embarrassed, not making eye contact.

"Come on we haven't got all day. We're in the middle of a game, to see if what worked Lance?" She slightly annoyed.

"To see if my soulmate was really there" I say in just above a whisper, I'm not even sure if she heard.

"What do you mean, To see if your soulmate was really there?" She asked, ducking to the right as a ball flew past her.

"It's this story that Nyma got me believing, it's stupid I can't believe I though she was telling the truth. She said if I write on my skin then my soulmate will see it on theirs too. See stupid." I explain as I rush it get the ball.

"Oh that" Pidge says, as I throw it back at the opposition and hit him right in the chest, knocking him out of the game. So that there was only two people left.

"Yeah that." I say rolling my eyes. "look before you say anything, of course I realise how ridiculous it sounded and that I was how stupid I was to even think that it was true." I say in a huff.

"Lance you do realise that's is true, right. Nyma wasn't lying to you she was telling you the truth. If you write on your skin, your soulmate will see it." She said. I really couldn't believe it. If Pidge thinks it's true then it must be. If you need to know something she's the one to ask no matter what it is she has the answer, and she's almost alway right.

"You mean she was telling the truth? The skin thing actually works?" I ask in disbelief.

"Well yeah, provide that you're both 18" She told me.

It's really true I have finally found a more effective way to find her, to fine my angel, my one true love, my soul-..... My thoughts were cut short as I felt a sharp pain in my head and everything went black.
