The smell of bacon and eggs flooded into my nose, trying to close my eyes but ended up walking to the kitchen. My feet shivered as I touched the moon white tiles, I sat on a stool that sat perfectly next to the island. Keith and Caleb had already started to eat but I just stared at my hot steaming food.
"Morning Casey!"
"Morning, what are we doing today?"
My mom turned around drinking a cup of hot chocolate, her necklace of gold and Jesus on the cross sat peacefully just a little below her collar bone.
"Well a family that lives super close wants us to come for lunch so that's about it. They have a boy your age so that's nice!"
In response I did the weird smile slanted eye brows, I turned my head to see a blue floral sun dress. It was cute but I didn't want to admit it, I could only guess I was gonna have to wear it so I knew how to make it look better.
After breakfast and a painful game of uno I went into the downstairs bathroom, I put the dress on and it flowed with no trouble. I put on a choker and sneakers so I felt pretty comfy since I was wearing a dress and tights which aren't my fashion statement. I looked super cute but took back my words as my dad complimented me. We got in the car and started to go through the forest of trees, I saw so many fluffy rabbits on our drive and somehow they are "close".
When we arrived I felt safe as if something nice was here, flowers wrapped around the house and it looked like a rainbow. I was the last to get out and walk on the cobblestone runway. As my parents knocked on the door I looked at a little swing sit under a tree begging for someone to come sit and use it after years.
"Hello! Come in!"
I turned around and ran in, grey carpet was all around like an ocean. I didn't pay any attention to anyone around me but I finally snapped back when I got outside. A wooden picnic table sat against the house, food of different kinds were lined up like little soldiers going to battle. I reached for a truffle that was pink with white chocolate drizzled on top. When my hands touched it another pair of touched my hand, I looked up and realized Maddie was looking down at me.
"Oh my god!"
I yelled as I pulled my hand away, Maddie looked back at his parents who hadn't heard a thing. Maddie grabbed my wrist and dragged me into the house. When we got inside he pushed me up against the counter. I tried to get away but Maddie grabbed my wrists and put both of them behind me on the counter.
"Please tell me you aren't their daughter!"
"Well I am!"
I said as I broke my hands free and pushed him away.
"If you like me then this is the wrong way to flirt!"
Maddie's face turned red and he stepped forward. I could tell that he was gonna yell in my face but his mom came in, thank goodness.
"Oh! Well I'll leave you alone if your getting along but lunch is done."
I pushed Maddie and ran outside, I grabbed a plate and looked at my options. Salad, sandwiches, chocolate, chips, strawberries, and so much more, I got a salad, sandwich, and chips. Maddie came out a minute later with a hoodie on, as he came over to the chairs out in the in the sun I sat down and his only option was next to me.
Maddie pulled his hood shut as he sat next to me, a part of me wanted to laugh but the other half felt bad. I turned and tapped his shoulder but was ready to expect a moody answer.
"What?"
Maddie said in the snappy tone that I was ready for.
"Want any food?"
Maddie undid his hood and looked at me, his eyes looked like a storm of ice.
"Why do you care?!"
"I'm nice that way."
Maddie looked even more angry at me trying to be nice after our awkward moment in the kitchen, I couldn't blame him though I would be mad if someone was just being nice to me.
"There is nothing that I like over there....you took it all."
I looked at all my options which was one saying sorry, two saying suck it up, or three give him my food. I knew my answer right away.
"Oh....okay then!"
I got up and sat my food on his lap and walked over to the table. When I got over there all there was was meat and other non vegetarian things. I shrugged and went back o my seat and sat down.
"This is your food."
Maddie said as he tried to hand it back to me. I shook my head and pushed it back to him, he tries to say that it was mine again but I shoved a strawberry in his mouth.
"It's yours."
I smiled and looked over at my mom who was talking to Maddie's. All of a sudden his mom looked over at me and ended the conversation between her and my mom.
"So your a freshman?"
"Uh yes."
She nodded and looked at Maddie and gasped.
"Can you drive?"
"Yes."
"Can you drive Maddie to school?"
I nodded, Maddie started to choke on his food and coughed as I agreed to take him to school. I looked into his eyes and he looked into mine after he coughed and I smiled. After an hour we went home and then had dinner and my bed was finally set up in my room.
Xand: Hey wonder girl what are you doing?
